The Wingate is probably your least expensive bet. I looked at rates for that night - $80 thru Expedia. Fairly close to the venue as well.

 

You can Google Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and one of the options that comes up is a link for hotels nearby.

I still haven't received my ticket - but I have not forgotten that the extra parking pass is yours.

I was just thinking yesterday, "Now, where did I book that room for the Rush concert?"

 

I cannot remember where I'm staying. Sure hope I didn't delete the confirmation e-mail from my work account. I'll check it when I get to work today.

 

EDIT: I found it. I'm staying at the Wingate in Alpharetta.

Last time we were at Champs, kinda dull, and we were badly outnumbered by the Rush Tour Forum group.

I'm so sorry to say this but, I can't participate this concert.

My father is suffered malignant bowel cancer (found it out yesterday) and will have an operation soon.

I have to cancel my flights and stay here...

 

But I have a ticket, not a good seat, still if you have someone wants to see the show, I'll give it to you.

I don't want to waste it.

No money needed, I'll send it by fast mail.

 

I'd been looking forward to seeing Rush and all of you at the meet-up VERY VERY much.

To be honest I'm so depressed that I can't make it, but have no choice.

I might be able to see Rush next year, my saving now is for that.

 

So, if you can use my ticket please PM me.

Just when it looked like I'd miss my first tour since T4E--and I actually had tix for that tour AND this one, before having to give them up--my wife and I have decided that we can make it to the Atlanta show!!

We might want to rethink the parking lot meet-up.

 

I spoke with a woman at the amphitheater this morning. She said the parking lot doesn't open until 6 p.m. the day of the show.

 

I'm trying to contact the person who's organizing the tailgater to see what she plans to do next.

 

I'm also contacting Champps in Alpharetta to see if anything is booked for a Rush meet-up there. I have a feeling there are some who would rather meet indoors and earlier than wait around until 6. Heck, there may be some who will do both.

My daughter is coming up from Athens to meet me before the show. It would be great to meet everyone somewhere where we could maybe get something to eat before the show and give her a place to park her car so we both don't have to park at the show. In 2008 we met a few people at a Chili's that was pretty close.

Champps is located at 7955 North Point Parkway, about 1.5 miles from the amphitheater.

 

I have the room reserved from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. I'd like to get out of there ASAP so I can battle the traffic and get to the venue for the Parking Lot A meet-up.

 

My check-in time at the hotel is 3 p.m., so I might get to Champss about 3:30 to get organized. I'll bring nametags so we can put names and faces together.

 

There was no charge for me to reserve the room. The manager said it holds about 50 people easily; he added that we could fit 70 in there but we'd be packed tightly like sardines.

 

Everyone is invited to join in the fun.

So...

Just tell them you're with the Rush fans gathering and they should lead you to the room.
