I was never impressed with his vision of the SPIDERMAN movies but they weren't that bad.

Well "Spiderman III" was. I hated the Venom character.

Venom is my favorite comic character.

I hated "The Quick And The Dead" too with Sharon Stoned.

 

Anyway, "DRAG ME TO HELL" rules!

It scared the shit out of Wendy.

I loved it.

What new release should I watch tonight now?

Nothing will top that one.

Just watched this last night. This movie was very good - scary, stylish and fast paced. While the movie is very much a slick modern horror it is unmistakably Raimi to the point that during any gore sequences you cannot help to think of the Evil Dead movies both in the sequences and also the twisted humor throughout the movie.

 

The movie also crosses many taboos that you'd never see in a typical movie but I'll leave that to new viewers to discover. Let's just say there are very few boundaries and *gasp* they even show a telephone number that is NOT a 555- number!

 

Definitely worth watching over the Halloween season. I'd give it a solid 7.8.

I thought it was kind of lame. I watched it with my teenage daughter and we both laughed at parts that we should have been scared, a bad sign for a horror movie.

 

BTW, I've actually been bitten by a toothless old woman. It doesn't really hurt that much.
