Presto-digitation
QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jul 2 2008, 05:38 PM) Not being a Kevin Smith fan, his endorsement doesn't exactly have me jumping up and down, but still it's a nice one. It takes a lot to get me to see a comic book movie these days (though there have been some really great ones - most notably X-Men 1&2, Spidey 1&2), but this one just might have enough hype for me to check it out. Of course if it gets trashed in the reviews I probably won't see it, but that doesn't look like it'll be the case... Necromancer
Yeah... what does Kevin Smith know? He's only a lifelong comic fan and the writer of the best runs in DareDevil, Spiderman, and Green Arrow HISTORY. What a chump eh? And as far as his brilliant movie making goes... who cares? But if the suits at the newspapers and the tv entertainment shows hate it... then THAT would be a review worth paying attention to eh? My buddy is an artist for DC and has seen it already. He had goosebumps while telling me how good it is. I can't wait to see this movie. It's going to blow away every comic/sci-fi/fantasy film EVER made. He had 2 scenes: where he first bumped into Batman as he was scaling the apartment building; the other when he was with Rachel Dawes and having delusions

I wouldn't watch it now except that I caved about 4 months ago when this FIRST surfaced (then disappeared). It was nice to watch it again. Really fun scene. I won't spoil myself further. I know NO plot points and intend to stay that way. Edited July 3, 2008 by Presto-digitation
kazzman
Now THATS how you open a movie! Saw this back with I Am Legend on Imax in December (hell it was the only reason I even went to see that movie). Still love it even after watching it endlessly online when it surfaced. God I can't wait for this movie... Edited July 4, 2008 by kazzman
theworkingman
Even David Letterman is raving about Ledger's peformance http://youtube.com/watch?v=6-sXBkQ13EQ ...Not sure if he loved the movie though. Or if he was just trying to be funny but his opinion really does nothing for me. It is cool hearing him talk about Heath Ledger's peformance though.
