The story was historicall flawed, and barely watchable.

What do you mean? That giant guy really existed. (didn't he?) And the rhinoceros and the hunchback dude and the creepy looking immortals?

I really liked the movie, but the comic book thing was a bit different. I guess you either like it or hate it. I liked it better the second time I watched it.

Try watching it again ken.

well, there was a guy who betrayed the greeks and went and told Xerxes about that secret path, and the immortals were real. but they were named that because when one immortal died, two more stepped in to take his place. I'm not so sure about the other things, but I think it was more of the Greek Mythology type of stuff, and the whole movie was told by that guy who Leonidas sends back, so that gave the directors a reason to make it slightly innaccurate. the only thing I didn't like about it was the first battle, when Leonidas is running through the persians and it would go into slo-mo, and speed up when he wasn't attacking. it was cool if they would've cut back on it, but they over did it. but I agree, one of the best, if not the best, movie of 2007.

actually this movie is surprisingly accurate. the wall they built in the movie was real, and they blonde guy who loses his eye and leonidas sends home was real. there were two spartans who got a bad eye desease and where sent home at the beggining of the third day.

I liked how the Spartans were all perfect human specimans with sculpted bodies, six-pack abs and the works. Meanwhile the Persians (Iranians) were portrayed as hideous Orc-like mutants. Hilarious!

I pose this question to anyone complaining that it's not historically accurate:

Do you really want to see that much gay sex?

Just saw this a few weeks ago, really, really good movie. I'll be buying this one.

And come on KJ, I'll let the "historically inaccurate" thing slide, because obviously you didn't know it was based on a graphic novel and not really the historical event... but bloodfest? Give me a break. Yeah, the movie was gory, but it was no slasher film.
