*Dont you... Forget about me*

I swear that's a subliminal message by the movie maker. We haven't forgotten.

I thought "Breakfast Club" was a good movie, but I never saw the big deal with it. It's only worth seeing a few times, then it becomes tiresome.

True, but quite quotable. One I use all the time:

"Well, thats social... demented and sad, but social..."

"Claire?!...your name is Claire?"

"Do you guys actually wear tights?"

"Proper equipment"

"tights".

Anything John Hughes does is good.

Even Maid in Manhattan ?

But yeah I know what you mean. He's made a bunch of enjoyable films:

Vacation

16 Candles

Breakfast Club

Weird Science

Some Kind of Wonderful

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

and so on....

Ferris Bueler!  Don't forget him wink.gif

In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone?... the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered?... raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression. Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is? Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve. Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-d-o-o economics. "Voodoo" economics.

Ben wrote this himself, of course.

How did 'Teachers' get on the list?

I worked at a movie theatre when I was in high school and that was one of the films we had. I thought it had some really funny parts but over all I didn't think it was a very good movie. I had forgotten about it completely until I saw it on that list.

Has anyone else even seen it?
