Midway Hawker
In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history. There lived a strange race of people...the Druids. No one knows who they were, or what they were doing... but their legacy remains... hewn into the living rock of Stonehenge... Stonehenge, where the demons dwell Where the banshees live and they do live well Stonehenge Where a man is a man and the children dance to the pipes of pan Stonehenge Tis a magic place where the moon doth rise With a dragon's face Stonehenge Where the virgins lie And the prayer of devils fill the midnight sky And you my love, won't you take my hand We'll go back in time to that mystic land Where the dew drops cry and the cats meow I will take you there I will show you how

Pags
Incredible pics! Sucks that they keep you from getting closer, but I guess it's understandable. Glad you got to see it.
Cowtothesky
Cool pics. Sounds like you had fun. If I ever visited stonehenge, I would have to do the scene from European Vacation and have someone take a picture of me setting my watch to stonehenge. This is one awesome freeze action shot, Mrs. Huck. We went down to the bottom of the cliff at Bedruthen Steps* and the tide was in. I've never been to the ocean and I could have stayed in that spot all day! Mesmerizing. Awesome. There are no words to describe the feeling. The closest I can describe it is when I go to the Rocky Mountains in Canada.

Dweezil
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa147/pinkpalomino/castleruin.jpg Tintagel castle. Apparently they don't know much about this castle and recently found a bunch of old stone walls further up the headland that indicates people lived there for a long time perhaps before the castle was built. Since they claim that this part of England is King Arthur country (man did he get around ) They guess it could be his castle. more photos later. So awesome I took tons, I mean tons of photos! I also can't believe I hiked all the way up this crazy island to take these photos! We were so close to the edge of the cliffs sometimes, I dreamt of the edge and falling during our whole trip!
Dweezil
At Tintagel, there is the remains of the 15th century Trevillett Mill. So they used water to power the mill and there is this stream that ends up in the ocean right by the castle. I took like 40 photos of the waterfall. You've got to see this in person though. On top of a cliff looking down at this inlet with waterfall and caves...... Awesome. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa147/pinkpalomino/fals.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa147/pinkpalomino/falss.jpg http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa147/pinkpalomino/flas.jpg
Dweezil
http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa147/pinkpalomino/trev.jpg Trevone Bay. Beautiful. Huck normally surfs here, but they didn't allow dogs so we moved on to Constantine Bay. Trevone is breathtaking and on one of the cliffs, there is a hole in the ground where you can see the sea. I'll post that later.
