The Notorious B.S.G. Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 "I took Spinal Tap real personal" - Joe Perry of Aerosmith
The Notorious B.S.G. Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Aug 31 2004, 09:59 AM) "I call it....'Lick My Love Pump.'"
Relaxed_Jack Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Aug 31 2004, 09:59 AM) "I call it....'Lick My Love Pump.'" That's my favorite part......
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 "Do me a favor? Just kick my ass, okay? Kick this ass for a man, that's all. Kick my ass. Enjoy. Come on. I'm not asking, I'm telling you. Kick my ass."
Jack Aubrey Posted August 31, 2004 Author Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 31 2004, 09:01 AM) Does this mean I need to wait for him before responding? Well, yes, that would have been the courteous thing to do..... Snowdog's a cool guy and he may not mind. But he still might stomp you like a narc at a biker rally.
GhostGirl Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Nigel: "The sustain, listen to it. " Marty: "I don't hear anything." Nigel: "Well you would though, if it were playing. " Edit to say, sorry, Snowdog...we took this and ran with it....oopsie!
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 This pretentious, ponderous collection of religious rock songs is enough to prompt the question, "What day did the Lord create Spinal Tap, and couldn't he have rested on that day too?"
CygnusX-1Bk2 Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Do I have to come right flat out and tell you everything? Give me some money
Midway Hawker Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I just bought this on DVD.. I haven't watched any of the extras yet... Can't wait. "... NO, don't even look at it..." 11
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Sorry to be so late to the party, but I had to work ! An all time classic: "My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo, I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo!"
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (Earthshine @ Aug 31 2004, 04:33 PM) I just bought this on DVD.. I haven't watched any of the extras yet... Can't wait. "... NO, don't even look at it..." 11 Earthshine, the audio commentary by "David" and "Nigel" is funny too. Give it a try!
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Another classic: Marty DeBergi: "The review for "Shark Sandwich" is simply a two word review: S*&t Sandwich." Nigel: "That's not real is it?"
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Nigel looking at the backstage food (Olive with no Pimento): "Look who's in here? Nobody! How do they expect me to work like this? But I'm a professional, I'll rise above it!"
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Jack, I would've started the thread myself, but out of deference to our movie moderator I thought I'd let him have the decision making authority
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Aug 31 2004, 11:23 AM) Nigel: "The sustain, listen to it. " Marty: "I don't hear anything." Nigel: "Well you would though, if it were playing. " Edit to say, sorry, Snowdog...we took this and ran with it....oopsie! That's ok, GG. Sometimes work calls. These things can't be helped. Glad you guys enjoy this movie like I do
Snowdog Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 QUOTE (Earthshine @ Aug 31 2004, 07:33 PM) come on Snowdog!! Mime is money!!!
Snowdog Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 I have to admit this, you guys can laugh at my expense. Ok, I was 14 when Tap came out. I didn't know the whole thing was a put on. I thought Tap was an old '60's band I had never heard of. I thought maybe David St. Hubbins might be related to that guy from Laverne and Shirley. Boy did I feel stupid when I found out.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 It's such a fine line between stupid and clever...

Even better, Derek Smalls (and I quote)..."has always been a seeker".

My liner notes don't mention that. When did you buy that copy?
