geez, compare that to those 'bleak' albums like T4E or RTB

But there's also the lyrical quality of the first album....not very high. RTB and even TFE have better lyrics.

I voted Grace Under Pressure. I like it but I never get the urge to listen to it all the way through like I do with say Power Windows or Hemispheres or Caress Of Steel.
