Midway Hawker Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I'm going to a NYE party at the same house I was at last year.. There was sooooo much booze there, something for just about everyone. Several different bottles of tequila, bourbon, scotch, gin, mixed drinks, beer and wine.. This year should be much the same but I'm planning on taking it easy and not mixing as much as I did last year. I'm going to be making Martinis and try to stick with that for my NYE celebration. Maybe throw in 1 or 2 celebration ales for around midnight. Should be loads of fun. Last year I got 2 hours of sleep (I had to work New Year's Day). This year, I don't have to work the next day!! So what are everyone's New Year's Plans?
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 My sister is having a party. I'll drink more then I normally do, and it'll be Celebration Ales or HopDevils, and Patron. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/drink/trink02.gif
GhostGirl Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Probably some delicious, ice-cold water from the fridge...before I go to bed at 11:00. Life's a party!
Dread Pirate Robert Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 (edited) How should I know? That is a whole two days from now. Lots of possibilities that could arise between now and then. However, odds are, as they seem right now, that I will spend the early evening at the Bier Garden, sampling new beers (hey, about 200 to choose from), and then end up at Jack of the Wood, for another kickass session of Sons of Ralph, who are scheduled to play. And hopefully running into the same lady I fell in love with last week, only to realize afterwards, after a scintillating conversation and really hitting it off with her and staggering back to my hotel room and waking up the next morning, that I didn't even get her name, let alone her number! Doh! Been asking myself ever since then how it is possible to so totally hit it off with someone and not even ask their name, but perhaps, when in such a state, names don't matter. Either that, or was just too drunk to remember afterwards . . . Damn, too many Victory Golden Monkeys (9.5% alcohol), haven't been that shitfaced in long time. Btw, GG, awesome pic sig. Makes me want to go hiking in the deep dark woods. Edited December 30, 2005 by Dread Pirate Robert

One great thing about the world we live in . . . beautiful ecosystems everywhere, each in their own way.

Speaking of that, we each had a glass of prosecco with dinner tonight. It was the first time I tried it. It's an Italian sparkling wine. (Only if it's from the French region of Champagne can it be called champagne. [Oh, the champagne, it stings my eyes!]) Very smooth taste to it.

motoman Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 started the day off with 3 pints of Guinness, then had 4 gin and tonics, then tried tequila sunsets and topped the night off with champagne. To say I didn't have an upset stomache the next day is a blatant lie, lol...
Alsgalpal Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I hear ya on the upset tummy part. I went back to my friends house, yesterday morning, and they gave me a cup of that Airborn, for vitamins. Just looking at it fizzing, and the sweet smell of citrus, I went and puked!!!
