I actually love listening to melodic rock / pop in the car, recent faves include

Jellyfish - Ghost At Number 1

Ben Folds Five - Underground

They Might Be Giants - They Got Lost

Sniff n' The Tears - Driver's Seat

The Decemberists - The Infanta

Funnily enough, Brian Wilson Presents "Smile" is a current fave as well.

However, it's hard to get past September 24th 2004 at the moment!!.

Hell ya DT is perfect cruising music. The way their songs unfold is almost like a story being told every single time you hear it.

Run To The Hills (Iron Maiden)

Pretty much ANY Van Halen tune (DLR-era, ie. Panama, Jump, Hot For Teacher, Unchained...)

Master Of Puppets (Metallica)

those are actually songs I heard TODAY in the car while I was out doing Christmas shopping, haha! tongue.gif

There's a few Van Halen songs that ALifeson85 mentioned, plus a few Metallica songs like Blackened and Enter Sandman I enjoy loud. There's probably more, but that's what I can think of at the moment.

This past week I have mostly been listening to:-

Type O Negative - Cinammon Girl

Focus - Sylvia

Paul Simon - Late in the evening (which is weird when you listen first thing in the morning!)

Dreamtheater - I walk beside you

Led Zeppelin - Over the hills and far away (live)

Manowar - Battle Hymns
