Are the previous two or three albums any good? I came to the Stones very late in life, they weren't metal enough for me. I knew they existed of course, I just didn't care. To me the Stones ended with Undercover, not that I gave a damn.

Dirty Work would have been Giuffria’s masterpiece.

They're going on tour this spring/summer in North America. .

I'll be at both shows at Metlife stadium in May.

I got tickets for two Stones shows, both at Metlife which is pretty much in my backyard.

VERY EXCITED.

Hey this album is much more energetic, vital and kick ass than the last few late-era albums, maybe going back even longer than that. Mick's vocals seem less R'n'B and a bit more "English" than they have since maybe the 60s albums. On Bite My Head Off he almost sounds punkish.

Been in heavy rotation since it was released.  I was skeptical of the pre-release hype, about it being the best thing since Tattoo You, and the most focused since Some Girls….I mean I like a lot of what they released from Emotional Rescue (ok that one took a while to grow on me, but it has aged remarkably well), Undercover, Dirty Work (not much, but a song or two), Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge, Bridges to Babylon, A Bigger Bang and Blue and Lonesome…..but darn it, after playing it a few times a week since it was released I have to agree.  It is their most focused album since Some Girls.  No real filler, no half baked songs…all complete honed songs.

Much better than I expected…and more hooks than a tackle box

Easily a top two album of the year for me.
