That’s so cool! There’s a lot of great bands in that scene right now. Sweet Pill is another favorite of mine. I’d highly recommend their album Where The Heart Is 1
Segue Myles Posted Thursday at 09:46 AM Posted Thursday at 09:46 AM Mastodon- Blood Mountain Mastodon- Crack The Skye Mastodon- The Hunter Gosh...I love this band so much! 3
Entre_Perpetuo Posted Friday at 02:06 PM Posted Friday at 02:06 PM Last night Thin Lizzy - Fighting L7 - L7 This morning Mastodon - Crack The Skye Man, Brent absolutely owns this record. It kinda doesn’t matter that he kinda checked out after this, cuz like, what this is is a masterpiece. What else would he even have left to prove? Lol. 1
bluefox4000 Posted Friday at 03:01 PM Posted Friday at 03:01 PM Lil Wayne Tha Carter (9/10) Tha Carter II (10/10) Tha Carter III (8/10) I know unusual for me to post this type of music. But i think i kinda needed something new over our down time. These 3 albums are each a ton of fun. Mick 1

Entre_Perpetuo Posted Friday at 03:25 PM Posted Friday at 03:25 PM Mastodon - Blood Mountain I know this is like Segue’s favorite, and I do like it a lot. To me though I get kinda lost in the track list. Lots of standout moments, but not much as instantly memorable as the best bits of the albums directly around it. Maybe I just never spend enough time with it, but it’s not my absolute favorite. 1

Blood Mountain is just the next phase of their career beginning. I think you overlooked just how BELOVED Remission and Leviathan are and Blood Mountain eas exciting because they went to a major label, scaring fans they might go soft, and instead unleashed something super special with enough new that they proved that they still had so kuch more to explore. I even hear now how much Crack The Skye really shouldn't have shocked me as it did as all the elements of it are hinted at here. Blood Mountain I think is the most exciting work of metal in the entire 2000s decade. 1

Entre_Perpetuo Posted Friday at 04:53 PM Posted Friday at 04:53 PM Mastodon - Once More Round The Sun This is easier for me to enjoy song for song than Blood Mountain. It’s also definitely less chaotic and takes fewer risks. Which is also why it’s definitely not on the level of Crack The Skye and Leviathan. But it’s sick I love it. 2
