I think it's bloody marvellous with one of my all time favourite songs, Sirens. I don't care if the album pushes no boundaries. I don't care at all when the songs are so full of passion and heart and maturity. 2

treeduck Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 I've got two sets of new speakers, one is the A set and one is the B set. The Q Acoustics 5020 is the B set and the Triangle Borea Bro 3 is the A set. I'm just running them in with Invincible Shield, switching from A to B. I'm currently on Gate of Hell with the Q Acoustics. 8

Every time I switch speakers the riffs sound nastier with even bigger scale! I'm on The Lodger now with the Q Acoustics. The Q Acoustics aren't very tall, 11 inches but also 11 inches deep, and weigh a ton! 1

Segue Myles Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Mariah Carey- The Emancipation Of Mimi Nightwish- Yesterwynde Two terrific albums. The new Nightwish album is exceeding all expectations for me, it really does reward time and patience. Could the mix be better? Absolutely, but song for song I think it's Nightwish back to their best, moving their sound forwards with nods to their past. 1

I saw a show in Sydney on Saturday and then hadn't planned to go to Canberra during the week. I was on yard duty (I was a teacher) having a crappy day, so hopped in the car and drove two and a half hours to Canberra to see if I could get a ticket. I purchased a ticket and lined up at the door which was a different door to where the main crowd was lining up. Anyway, 'my' door opened and I casually walked to the front and stood right under where Robert Smith's microphone was - the 'main' door had not opened yet. Anyway, front row and Robert Smith shaking his head and sweating on me - smallest venue of the tour. Great look at the guitars, set up etc. The opening of 'Out of This World' and 'Watching Me Fall' and a bunch of other songs from this album was just killer. One of my best concert experiences ever, and I wasn't meant to be there! Again, a soft spot for the album due to these circumstances. 2

He enjoyed Disintegration, he then went straight to the start. I am curious what newer listeners make of their discography! 1
