As an Aussie, I've gotta ask - I presume we're talking about the international editions, and not about the original Australian versions of those early albums? Edited by yyz305

Rock or Bust was pretty underwhelming. Black Ice and Power Up are solid efforts and deserve protection. Stiff Upper Lip I think is just bad. Probably their worst IMO

Power Up getting that many elimination votes already? How many of you voting to eliminate it actually listened to it?

I, too, thought Rock Or Bust was pretty underwhelming on first (dozen or so) listens but after many more spins find it to be one of my later day favourites. I prefer it to Power Bust, which I really like. As for Stiff Upper Lip, apart from the two tracks Safe In New York City and Cyberspace, I find it a treasure trove of riffs and rhythms. I quite often pump this up loud when I'm in the mood for such...

This will annoy just about everyone, I know, but as album experiences as a whole listening period, I prefer the Brian era. The Bonn albums may have higher highs, but a lot of lower lows. I find the Brian era more of a consistent 'median' listening experience

I think this is a reasonable take. I think the Bon era "hits" are AC/DC's best songs but the Johnson era albums as a whole are filled with better overall songwriting.
