Today I discovered Sparks. Oh. My. I don't know how I've never even heard of this band before, but they've immediately caught my attention and I'm probably gonna be listening to this song on repeat for the foreseeable future:

I tried the "New in Rock Music" playlist on iTunes; something like 137 songs and thirteen hours, and so far there are about six songs I like well enough to download for further listening. I'll keep at it.

The exact right mix of disturbing and hilarious. This is theatre without the plot!

Chris Rea. thanks to Segue.

 

he's like a combo of Mark Knopler, Elvis Costello. Tod Rundgren in his early albums. and oddly He sounds close to Tom waits If tom decided i want to be more accessible. not totally like Tom but sometimes his voice gets close in intonation.

 

I affectionately call him diet Tom, lol

 

or training wheels Tom :laughing guy: :laughing guy:

 

but Segue really it's time to take those wheels off.
