I'm not much for female singers, but I always loved Pat.

 

And I think Nick lived in her shadow and seemed content to do so, but he was one helluva guitar player.

Benetar, and not only because my girlfriend in the 80s had the same hairstyle. And what's with this underlined spelling check for her name? Is it because she didn't do rap?

I'm not big on female singers either. I once had a lengthy debate with a friend who was very keen on them about whether that makes me a chauvinist.

Pat Benatar, Tina Turner, Ronnie Spector of The Ronettes, and Susan Jacks of The Poppy Family all have one thing in common.

 

They all kept their married name of their former spouse after they divorced.

 

Benatar is the only one who's former spouse wasn't involved in music with them as a couple.

 

Turner, Spector, and Jacks have all had to endure and overcome spousal abuse as well.
