Album knockout from 1981: Mob Rules vs Fire of Unknown Origin?

My pick: BOC by a decent margin(in both cases).

Very easy pick for me as I don't like BOC but even if I did, there's no comparison with a RJD fronted Black Sabbath.

I'm not familiar with the Blue Oyster Cult album but I can't imagine I would like it more than Mob Rules.

Mob Rules. I really like Fire of Unknown Origin, it's my favourite BOC album, but it can't beat Sabbath here.

I like FoUO. But Mob Rules is either my favorite or second favorite (depending on my mood) album from what is in the running for my favorite band.

I did the exact opposite as I do love both records.

 

BOC for album. "The Mob Rules" for the song.

 

Interesting to note:

 

Both tracks are on the "Heavy Metal" soundtrack." I love "Veteran" but being a drummer I think the drumming annoys me a bit.

 

"The Mob Rules" scene in "Heavy Metal" is better than the "Veteran" part as well.
