1 star. Sorry guys. I listen to this album a lot, and I can't understand what he's saying on about 1/4th of the songs.

The Anarchist is my favorite song off CA but yeah, without the lyrics sheet I hear:

"Will there be wawawa and time for me to sing that song?

A voice so sila for so long

For wawa years I had to get along, they told me I wawa

I never wanted to bewa - I was so strong"

j/k...but not really

This would be a companion thread to the speaking correctly thread.

I'm not complaining though really. When I was 9 year old kid listening to Fly By Night in the early 80s I had no idea what he was singing on Beneath, Between, and Behind. And it didn't matter.

Yeah but lyrics were always in albums back then. Now you need an interpreter to figure out what he's saying.

How much do you dig Geddy's vocals on the final studio album?

I'll give it 3 stars at best, I'm not so impressed.

My brain must be FRIED!

I thought this poll was about Geddy's voice on the self titled album!!!

"Clockwork Angels" is solid but the worst part about is Geddy's vocals.

Horrific.

Now I see my error. I read King's first sentence. I thought he wrote "first" studio album. Not "final!"

I didn't even read the header.

FAIL

4/5 for me. Nick R really pushed him vocally on this one and I think it produced some of his most thrilling singing since the 80s.

Unfortunately most of it was too difficult to replicate live, especially at the start of a show as is evident on R40...

Well, in that case you can find lyrics of particular song on Internet.

Yeah remember the old days, pause, rewind, pause, play "any idea what he's singing?"

That's what bothers me most. Rush should be thought of in the live setting first. Sure, Geddy can reach back at moments and hit on vocals in the studio...but you're asking for trouble when on tour.

I'm used to people complaining about the live albums, but it's getting to be overkill with CA.
