Made a mentioned of this in What Are You Reading, but it's worth a mention here.

 

I'm halfway through 99 Stories of the Game by Wayne Gretzky. So far it has been a thoroughly enjoyable read. A history of the NHL, its teams, players, and memorable games and series, interspersed with Wayne's own hockey memories. It includes a chapter on Wayne's #1 hockey hero, #9, Mr. Hockey, or as Wayne calls him, "The greatest of them all", Gordie Howe, which as a huge Wings fan was a joy.

 

Definitely recommended!

Being home on my last week of vacation, watched NBCSN's overtime show where they basically replay every goal scored Thursday night. Lots of interesting analysis and some truly bizzare scores. The DVR
