The interview to promote his solo album, which is being kept under lock and key for a while. I received a promo copy today, and it's...different from what you would expect. NOTHING to do with Dream Theater.

New BARONESS album Stone - my impressions

This album is more consistent than Gold & Grey, although it has less standout moments, at least in my first listens. -
Happy happy birthday, Rod from Toronto !!
Rod in Toronto replied to blueschica's topic in Random Samples
Thanks again everyone! June is a busy and happy month at Casa de Rod- mt wife and daughter also have their birthdays this month! I continue to interview some of my favorite artists, but not with the same intensity as I used to. It's still great when it happens though! We're in Toronto, but considering another move in a year ir so . I'll start a new job in August, but before then we'll visit family in Rio. How's that for an update? -

The Official Iron Maiden Thread
Rod in Toronto replied to Segue Myles's topic in Music Of The Spheres
It's the galloping bit before Adrian's solo. He switched it around a bit, and I think he's playing that part one octave higher. Also...I did see the footage of them playing that song with Gers not appearing in it. Whenever he plays a solo from the classic period he messes it up - most notably Moonchild and Revelations. I'm really glad he kept his hands off the Somewhere in Time material, except for Heaven Can Wait. -
Happy happy birthday, Rod from Toronto !!

Thanks everyone!!!! -
I like it, but it doesn't have the same impact as the other albums in their discography. Nobody's Fault But Mine is great, as is the absolute MASTERCLASS in heavy metal called Achilles Last Stand. The rest of the album is ok in my opinion, just not as special as the material in their other releases.

This guy's channel is insanely good. His series on In Through the Out Door and "Led Zeppelin in the 80's " were full of details I had no idea about.

I interviewed Richie Faulkner two Fridays ago, before this tour was announced. Here it is!!! -
Aerosmith calling it a day with farewell tour
Rod in Toronto replied to Turbine Freight's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Their net worth is $150 million EACH, because of te deal they made with Guitar Hero. All of them are old, don't really get along, and don't seem to write good songs together anymore...so I'd say it's appropriate to call it a day. -
Sea of Tranquility - Hudson Valley Squares Yay or Nay?
Rod in Toronto replied to treeduck's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Sonic Perspectives is way better. Those guys know A LOT about music!!! -
That became even worse during covid. A lot of albums had their vinyl release postponed due to manufacturing and distribution constraints. Two that I can remember were Accept's Too Mean To Die and Deep Purple's Turning To Crime.

In preparation for their upcoming shows in the US and Canada, Helloween members are doing interviews. Here's one I did with Michael Kiske!!! Any views, likes, comments, shares and subscribes are a way to support our site, and costs ZERO dollars. If you could help me with that, it would be much appreciated!

I spoke with Rick Wakeman!!!
Rod in Toronto replied to Rod in Toronto's topic in Music Of The Spheres
I would have asked him that. But we had 15 minutes only, and his agent kept texting me "I need to move along to the next interview"... -
Rick is touring the US right now, and we spoke for about 15 minutes. You can read the interview transcript on the link below: https://www.sonicperspectives.com/interviews/interview-with-rick-wakeman/
