  1. I dont hate Bravado, but when compared with this list, it gets the vote. Good challenging list
  2. QUOTE (Scars @ Apr 11 2011, 12:46 PM) I love it, even though I know that you guys just don't get it.
  3. QUOTE (USB Connector @ Jun 13 2011, 05:33 PM) What if they took part in a skit? I don't watch SNL often but why not having something ripping on an older skit? Band plays a section of a new song in recording studio, producer stamps in: PRODUCER: Stop. Stop. You guys are killing me! Do you seriously want to pull off another Vapor Trails album?! ALEX: What do you mean? PRODUCER: I mean that you are too loud, Neil is too loud and we still need more Geddy overdubs for the chorus! ALEX: More overdubs? We already have 7 different Geddy backup tracks! PRODUCER: AND YOU THINK THAT'S ENOUGH?! There should be a whole ARMY of Geddy Lee backup vocalists singing to the heavens! I'm not sure where to go from there, but you guys get the picture. They could do a skit of some sort. We've seen them appear in movies before, why not do it again? I would pay to see that!!!!!!
  4. Wow. I can see you guys are having a blast here. Umm, thanks to the guys who said they enjoyed this song? Really diggin this debate stuff

  6. QUOTE (Good @ bad, andrush,Jun 10 2011, 11:57 PM)QUOTE (Kenneth @ Jun 10 2011, 11:53 PM) QUOTE (A Farewell to Things @ Jun 10 2011, 09:36 PM) Enjoy and discuss... Sorry.. It's going to be hard for me to do either X2 I guess it's unfortunate and you can call me close-minded but to me all rap is crap and I just will never ever listen to it. I have heard enough and even the supposed underground "good rap" and it is still mostly shit. So sorry, bye bye, screw me and my close-mindedness. Oh don't get me wrong, I agree 100%, I just meant that it is interesting to see Rush's influence in such a different category, even if that category doesn't deserve the light of day.
  7. Hasn't been mentioned here yet so I'll do the honors. Rapper Tech N9ne has a quite obvious reference to our boys in his song "Rock and Roll N***a". He mentions listening "...to Geddy, Alex, and Neil Purt" I say Purt because that is a good onomatopoeia of when people mispronounce it. But in all fairness to mister N9ne, it would not rhyme without it. You can catch the song on utube here. Skip to 2:10 to get to the verses about the guys, but I honestly think the whole song itself is pretty badass and enjoyable, which is especially rare considering it is from a genre that IMO usually needs to be spelled with a C in front of it. Enjoy and discuss...
  8. Analog Kid ---> Digital Man happened on a shuffle of 161 songs no joke
  9. QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ May 31 2011, 08:51 PM) QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ May 31 2011, 09:44 PM) I sometimes wish Neil was a Christian. Then he'd stop writing about religion and go back to writing about cars, trees, storms, and strange houses. Every symbol Tommy used.

  14. QUOTE (tick @ Apr 13 2011, 07:41 AM) It was funny. I laughed. Nothing monumental, but certainly brought me a few laughs and I didn't expect anything more than that. This
