  1. Uuummmmm...yeah, Hemispheres, Cygnus X-1, Jacob's Ladder, and Natural Science all SUCK! Where are the deep-cuts?? I'm pretty damn happy with those - not to mention what's possibly coming that doesn't have video. Let the first show play out...then bitch if you still have too. See you opening night in Tulsa!
  2. Agreed, Besides there are many unplayed RUSH I would rather see brought to the Limelight. Cut to the Chase, Alien Shore, Open Secret, Different Strings, Vapor Trial, Sweet Miracle and of course Losing It! :boohoo: "Losing It" is a MUST at this point in time! More like a MUST NOT! What is UP with all you people wanting Rush to play a depressing song about not being able to perform anymore? So ridiculous! Yeah, because a song about suicide is so much more uplifting!
  3. He sounded fine to me! The sound was also fine from where I sat (AA - Dallas is NOT a good place for music). The problem I had with this show is the crowd. LAME! St. Louis kicked your behind's Dallas, plain and simple. Huge sections were sitting on their hands - literally - until YYZ broke out. When they got the lights thrown on them, it was 'watch me be stupid', but otherwise....LAME! I was in 111 and it was mostly like a morgue and so were the sections around us. You would think, especially after announcing it was being recorded for a live DVD, there would be a bit of excitement overall.....not as far as I could see. I had a great time regardless.
  4. Happy as a witch in a broom factory!! See you in BIG D, BABY! Yeeeehawaaawww!!! < dances perfectly to 'Subdivisions', btw.
  5. Meh! TMT was by far the best of all the tours, imo. This tour...the 'watchmaker' closer is awful.
  6. Kansas City - Starlight Theater. AWESOME venue!
  7. One of the greatest pieces of music ever penned. If you can, change the quality to 720p or 1080p and fullscreen it. If you can't, let it play in the background while you work or do something else. Not only is this a phenomenal rendition of this classic, but these kids are in.... high school. HIGH SCHOOL! smh - just mind-boggling - It's tough to choose a 'best' from this, but 18:40-22:56 is 'musical bliss' imo and 30:06-32:09 shows some amazing violinist chops. Enjoy! ...high school...(smh again) (added) - from around 40:35 to the end of the piece is pretty damn spectacular as well.
  8. Best lyrics of the lot (CA). Not that the rest are garbage, this one just rises above the others to me. The lyrics to Headlong Flight are a close second.
  9. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Oct 12 2012, 10:40 AM) QUOTE (bigalfan @ Oct 11 2012, 04:14 PM) Resistance Tour You can watch it all if you'd like, obviously, but starting about 1:03:00 in the middle of Plug in Baby and watching the rest of the show will give you a good feel for how epic they are in concert. Enjoy! I skipped ahead and landed on the bass and drum jam. Thanks for sharing. I'm getting pumped for the show, but now I have to wait until March. It will give me time to get more into the albums. I LOVE the impromptu (seems that way anyway), raw, KILLER jam they break into at the end of Stockholm Syndrome. They did this when I saw them last - just caught up in a blasting sheer grunge jam and killin' it like no one's around - just taking everything out in their music and leaving everything on stage. Awesome!! Starts about 1:16:30 - Sweet JESUS YES!!!!! Oh, and YES - the drum/bass jam is awesome as well!
  10. QUOTE (CygnusGal @ Oct 12 2012, 04:42 PM) Muse tickets acquired. Friday 4/12/13. I played The 2nd Law when getting together with some friends last night, and we *loved* the album . A dear friend of mine, a talented musician and teacher, loved the textures and diversity of the sounds. A remarkable band! And now, another friend (another dear one) who didn't know the band will also be going to the show with us.
  11. QUOTE (Snaked @ Oct 12 2012, 07:43 AM) It says "Every sector" not "Every album" They have 3 box sets titled "Sectors" and each is represented on this tour. How is that not accurate?
  12. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Oct 11 2012, 02:54 PM) March 8, 2013 - St. Louis I saw Rush there last month so why not go again. I hate the drive, but Im hooked on the band now.
  13. Resistance Tour You can watch it all if you'd like, obviously, but starting about 1:03:00 in the middle of Plug in Baby and watching the rest of the show will give you a good feel for how epic they are in concert. Enjoy!
  14. QUOTE (CygnusGal @ Oct 10 2012, 07:45 PM) Thanks for the recommendation, bigalfan. Trust me, you'll be blown away!
  15. If you're even remotely considering seeing this band live...GO! GO! GO! GO! They are known as one of the top live - if not THE top live - band. Their show is an assault on the senses (in a good way) - their sound is just as good live as it is on the CDs and they always drop little 'jam' nuggets throughout their shows. Just an awesome live show. GO!! I saw them twice on the last tour and already have tickets to Tulsa for this tour - thinking about St. Louis and others as well. GO!! GO!!!
  16. What? No love for "Snakes and Arrows"? Yeah...that may be the worst actually.
  17. Since you mentioned U2, I saw them live once...that was enough.
  18. Yup! Subdivisions, Big Money, Territories, The Analog Kid, Far Cry, Caravan, The Anarchist, Carnies, Headlong Flight, Seven Cities of Gold, The Garden, Dreamline, Red Sector A, YYZ, The Spirit of Radio, Tom Sawyer and three sections from 2112 all SUCK! Yeah- they suck so bad, I have to go see them play these crap selections at least one more time just to make sure they suck as bad as they did the first time. I'm a 70s lover. Started listening to when ATWaS came out - I can tell you this tour - and the boys - are kicking ass. How about just enjoying it for what it is - three amazing musicians who have touched all of our lives and are still out there, all these years later, making great music? How about enjoying where they're at now and marveling at what they're doing at this stage of their career? How about being thankful they're still around and just produced an album that ranks up there with some of their best works and THEY'RE PLAYING MOST OF IT ON TOUR RIGHT NOW!!?? Nope! Can't do it! Sucks! Sucks! Sucks! ...yeah......okay.......
  19. St. Louis - done! Dallas - upcoming. Yet to be seen for second U.S. leg of tour, but probably at least 2 of those, possibly more depending on when and where.
  20. THE obvious Muse Zeppelin Floyd Duran Duran (yeah, that's right) Supreme Beings of Leisure The Crystal Method Queen There are several others I like and/or listen to, but the above take up a majority of my listening time so I guess I would consider those my favorite.
  21. QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Sep 29 2012, 08:54 AM) QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Sep 29 2012, 08:50 AM) Alex should stop thinking out loud during his interviews. It drives the fans crazy. He may be doing it on purpose......I always thought he had a devious streak in him..... ^ Concurred. He knows stuff like that winds up on places like this - he's screwing with us. He's screwy that way.
