  1. A disturbing freak show.....I respect that.
  2. Set the dial to 1976 for 2112. It think a new concept album for 2012 ( dooms day stuff) would work. The beginnings of the Solar Federation mixed with Mayan and Nostradamus.
  3. Counter, Roll, Test....... all good in my book. I grew up listening to Caress, 2112, Farewell. I appreciative the distinctive sound of each era. If it is a minority to like all RUSH, then I proudly walk with that group.
  4. Available Light #1 He could sing it Scars #2 He should sing it
  5. Man's best friend.....working some overtime.
  6. Cut To The Chase It would be great live. Cold Fire #2 A bit sappy but I just want to hear the damn song live.
  7. Bravado - Love the last verse - And if the music stops.......
  8. Anything off of Feedback would suck and start a mass exodus to the beer lines. We've been in that time machine before. If they feel they have to go pre RUSH, play the Star Spangled Banner or O' Canada.
  9. Here's a more hidden moment that I have always loved. It is not even musical. Old school fans should know it. On All The World's A Stage - Near the end of Bastille Day....when the fan clearly yells "Right On". His voice and moment is recorded in history.
  10. I took my boys to Jack in the Box and when I pulled up to the window she said " $21.12 please" I said, "How much?" She said, "2112". And then I said, "How much?" And then my son said, "Dad, stop it". http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz77/tanhuntland/2112001.jpg
  11. The bell tolls for thee - I would love to hear Losing It live. I wouldn't care how many triggers or gimmicks it would take to pull it off. Every song doesn't have to tear the roof off. Yes I like Rivendell too.
  12. QUOTE (WIDE-ANGLE WATCHER @ May 12 2010, 01:54 AM) A chronological set list would be fun. Something off every album. Not realistic, but would be very cool ( for me ). SET 1 Finding My Way Fly By Night Bastille Day 2112 A Farewell To Kings La Villa Strangiato Jacob's Ladder Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta Yyz Limelight The Camera Eye Witch Hunt Vital Signs SET 2 New Song Digital Man Afterimage Manhattan Project Time Stand Still Superconductor Ghost Of A Chance Between The Sun & Moon Driven Secret Touch Far Cry New Song Encore: One Little Victory The Spirit Of Radio Anthem I can dream. A chronological video montage to go with this set-list.
  13. Be you to be. Maybe? I am hoping the radio stations will have it before the 1st....I can't wait. I wonder if that cover art is for the singles release only or is it the new album cover. It looks cool.
  14. I think some Time Machine related props and video, i.e., Peabody's Way Back Machine, Back To The Future's Delorean, H.G. Wells' The Time Machine, The Twilight Zone's episodes and Einstein's Theory spaced out throughout the show would be cool.
  15. Thanks for the info. It was all packaged up nice and he thought it was a new live album, at the time. He just called me, from Germany, and our debate was rekindled. I told him there are hundreds of bootlegs now. He still thinks it's real, even with the German writing and fake Anthem label. We do agree that it is a great sounding disc.
  16. I dug this recording out of my collection. It's called Mirrors, recorded 1/30/92 at the Oakland Coliseum. My buddy says it was an authorized recording. I don't believe him. I haven't seen it mentioned on the bootleg thread though. He says he bought it in Germany back in the day, doesn't sound 'authorized' to me. It does sound good though.
  17. Album 1, Side 1, Song 1.....Finding My Way.....then right in to Anthem.
  18. QUOTE (robertjames1971 @ Apr 27 2010, 09:26 AM) Oh, and Bastille Day is probably the best opener ever. Very limited choices... I think Finding My Way would be appropriate. Anthem would be great. Bastille Day would be epic. It's a Time Machine baby!!
  19. This is probably the wrong thread or maybe even website for this, but the original topic stated RUSH or Waters' Wall. The Wall is Pink Floyd. I have heard a few references to Pink Floyd regarding Roger's Wall. Roger Waters is NOT Pink Floyd. David Gilmour is NOT Pink Floyd. Division Bell, a great album, should not have been labeled Pink Floyd. I guess they both have the rights to the Name. Out of respect for the Waters/Gilmour work, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, the Fans, and even Syd, they and we should only use the Pink Floyd name when all surviving members are involved.
  20. I chose Freeze in hopes of hearing the Fear Quad. If they want to squeeze Fear in before Vital Signs, it's okay with me.
  21. I think the Fear Quad would be great, except the ongoing personal preference dilemma of using those time slots for other great songs. As far as MP played consecutively, I think they should, but putting the Fear Quad before Vital Signs wouldn't make that much of a difference. What they need to do is play for 4 hrs. next tour and charge us a gazillion dollars....I'll pay.
  22. Pink Floyd is awesome and The Wall is epic. But no Gilmour, no Wright, probably not even Mason. Roger Waters is not Pink Floyd. It would be like seeing RUSH with Phil Collins on drums, it just doesn't work. I'd rather see Roger perform The Pros and Cons of Hitch-hiking with Clapton than Roger's Wall.
  23. Yes, and they've all been fitted for robes and the Mini-moog and Oberheim have been dusted off. And Geddy has a helium balloon close by, and Alex lost 30 pounds, and.....
