  1. Expand "our" horizons? You can't even do snarky right. I wasn't trying to be snarky. Maybe you can't do reading comprehension right? i didnt read it as snarky. is it wrong that my theatre kid ass thought....yea TRF could use expanding :laughing guy: lord i AM a snob, lol Mick Everyone knows who Sondheim is. I don't but I have never been into musicals either so that would likely explain it. There’s the risk using absolutes among a large number of people. Given this is a forum of music fans and the majority of the generations represented here, coupled with Sondheim’s fame. It is reasonable to think the vast overwhelming majority here have at least a vague awareness of Sondheim’s work. most people would at least know send in the clowns that crossed over and became a radio hit. and won an oscar, grammy and a tony. Mick Definitely know the song, but no idea he wrote it or that it won all those awards.

Some people try really hard to denigrate others any chance they get and read into posts trying to do so.

  4. He was a 91 year old composer and lyricist. If you don't know who he was, expand our horizons. RIP.
  5. Seems like a lot of people can't tell if it's a parody or real. FYI, lots of bad language which may induce some cognitive dissonance among certain groups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agvibm7Wqy4&t=109s
  6. It's like a broken record, trying to prove something that doesn't exist in an effort to cover your own depravity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzdWPwVTWsI
  7. "Woke" is just the new derogatory term effete people, who feel threatened by something they don't understand or agree with, use to label other people. That being said, I wake up every day, so far.

  9. This could have also gone in the what made you laugh thread.
  10. I purposely arrived late to the show Mr. Big opened and got there just as they were finishing what turned out to be their last song. I still think it would have been much better than Marillion.
  11. The days of ICE are over, RIP ICE. I wonder if the environmentalists have put much thought into what kind of power generation is going to be needed to charge all the battery powered vehicles in our future?
  12. A week of so ago, Jay Leno set a 1/4 mile record for a production car in a Tesla Plaid, MSRP, $131,190. The previous record was held by a Bugatti Chiron, MSRP $3,000,000 (est). After Leno did it, a professional driver went just a bit faster in the Tesla.
  13. The trial was a farce from the start. A jackass judge who is unfit for office, the jury selection, ..... the verdict was not a surprise. I don`t know much about this case, and clearly I don`t know anywhere near enough - I thought he`d travelled to a different state with his weapon to protect stores and found himself near people protesting that he then killed. What have I missed that could lead a jury to acquit? Loads and loads of evidence that demonstrate without doubt that Rittenhouse was not the aggressor. It`s not possible to view this case through a European lens, that`s clear. As soon as anyone is walking the streets with a gun, it might as well be Godzilla flying over from Tokyo, such is the complete absence of any frame of reference. Even our riots and protests are feeble  Agreed. You really have to watch the full trial to get a frame of reference where acquittal makes sense. The facts are that Rittenhouse acted within the law, and those that ultimately physically attacked him and threatened his life did not. Whether one agrees with those laws - namely open carry and self-defense - is immaterial. *I`ll add that I`m happy that the open-carry and general second amendment issue is not in our constitution, but on the other hand, a strengthening of the options regarding defence of property would be nice. It very well be that ordering police to stand down during riots isn't such a good idea. For me this is the clear difference between the Rittenhouse and Hillbilly Arbery case. The authorities in Glynn County, Georgia were still doing the job. Was Arbery part of a riot when he was killed?
  14. Boring and left me wondering who the heck put those guys on the bill with a hard rock band?
