    Rush vs Kansas

Kansas has really chops, no doubt...but there's a tangible cheese factor with that band thats tough to overcome. IMHO.
  2. Its back up, really dig the groove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QJjJgptNxs
  3. Could be worse: http://upload.wikime...7/Yes_Drama.jpg Love that cover! and album for that matter...
  4. Dont need to hear it live, but I legitimately like Tai Shan.
  5. I want to hear this song more than any other next tour. In fact, the more Signals, the better.
  6. Absolutely. It's time for this song to see the light of day again.
  7. Mostly agree -- those are the best songs on the album, with the exception of Far Cry (IMO).
  8. Probably wont come off good live, but its a really good, overlooked tune on that album.
  9. Give the person Moving Pictures and 2112. I've done this many times with newbies, and actually was able to convert most of them.
  10. YES - Warner Theater, DC. July 15.
  11. Great show, unlistenable production. Havent listened to it in years.
  12. Three way tie: Freewill, Limelight, and Subdivisions.
  13. Stole my answer, I couldn't agree more. That, or Grand Designs. If you are going Power Windows, I like Emotion Detector or Marathon. Grand Designs is pretty cool as well:) Nice call on Emotion Detector. One of the best solos on an album full of great ones.
  14. That song is SO overdue. It should absolutely be put in an encore medley like the old days. And it may be very appropriate if this ends up being their last big tour.
  15. Good point about it being Power Windows' 30th next year, but afraid they may short change it given the amount of songs they played off the album on the CA tour. Hope I'm wrong, would love to hear Marathon, MR, etc, as well as some other 80s material from GUP and especially, Signals.
  16. While I didnt buy the album in 77 (too young), I did buy it in 1982. And vividly remember listening to it on vinyl for hours on end, staring at the gatefold and studying the lyrics. Very special album for sure, great times.
  17. Kansas was huge back then huh? Seeing them posted a few times here. As for Kings...was a bit too young when it came out (all KISS all the time here), but its definitely a top 5 rush album for me, ahead of all their other 70s output. Tremendous top to bottom.
  18. No Malcolm no AC/DC, in my view. Will pass on the inevitable tour.
  19. Those 3 tours, COTN, LIU & Revenge are the 3 worst attended tours as well... True, but Im referring solely to the music, which is great on all three.
  20. Crazy or not, no coincidence he had a hand in three of the best Kiss albums: Creatures, Revenge, and best of all Lick It Up.
  21. Id like to see them tour with an opener next year. Used to love seeing good warm up acts back in the day (Marillion, Primus, etc). Good music and heightened anticipation for the main event. Would be great to see them take our a "newer" prog act, like Anathema....
