It will be a fierce symphony of sound, space and time colliding, bursting as 3 bright stars and expanding an entire new universe, just as I see all of their albums. Call me optimistic, but Rush have yet to disappoint me. Besides this whole waiting thing.

Now THIS is a thread I'll participate in! I'm gonna out myself and say that I truly love every Rush album put out. I can enjoy every last one of their songs except for one (second nature-only Rush song I keep off my ipod but that's for a different thread lol). I'm waayyyy too excited for this new album, and I think Caravan and BU2B are 2 of my all time favorite Rush tracks. I love the heaviness of them and how much energy they have, not bad for a bunch of old dudes I even love S&A, every song on that album. I know a lot of people like to bash it, but I never got why, I loved it the first time I popped it in my cd player. So, even if CA ends up being anything like S&A (which it probably won't judging by the 2 new songs and how Rush change their style up every album), I know I'm still going to enjoy whatever they show up with. THAT is why I'm so excited for this new album. Also, can't wait for them to tour again so I can see them my 5th time (and maybe a 6th)!

Came to this thread to find news on the new single, found out it's an S&A hate thread. Aren't there enough of these on here already? I want some news!

If you REALLY want me to answer your question, which I'm not sure that I OWE YOU an actual answer, I'd say the band owes it to us fans after saying that the album was supposed to come out Fall/Winter 2010 (MONTHS after the first 2 singles were released). I was patient for it because they did a 2nd leg of the Time Machine Tour (which was wonderful) and then claiming that it would be out Fall/Winter 2011 after the tour was completely over. Still waited patiently, then they said the album was finished around January. Knowing how the music biz usually goes, that means the band should have had no problem getting it out by now, or at the very least (which is all I'm asking for) just say WHY it's taking so long. I know this argument goes round and round, as everyone has different opinions, but I don't think a statement from the band is too much to ask for, really. And they sorta owe us fans the decency of saying something because we do buy their albums/concert tickets and we're very loyal fans just as they should be loyal to us. I didn't really want to get into all this cause I'm just saying a bunch of things that many other threads have already been through, but here it is, since you asked. The bottom line is: I'm expressing my views, don't care if you agree or not. But I AM allowed to express the way I feel about this. And if i have certain feelings, I say them. I didn't know I was stepping on anyone's toes by saying how I feel about this situation and I certainly didn't mean to. If you feel differently, great, you're a better man than I. But it's not gonna change the fact that I'm SICK of waiting for this album. There.

I have no argument besides: I'm SICK of waiting for this. It's getting to the point where they're just pissing me off now, and I wouldn't have expected this behavior from Rush... ignoring their fans like this. They gotta know we're dying for some info by now, the least they could do is say anything.

And might I ask, where did you hear THIS rumor? To answer the question, I've never been impressed by 30 second samples of anything in my life. Gimme a new song, or put out the re-recordings of Caravan/BU2B (if they did indeed record them again).

ATWAS was the first Rush album I bought on vinyl. Found it at my local Goodwill for just 25 cents! There's a spot or 2 on the discs that are scratched and skip for just a moment, but for a quarter, how could I complain?! It will always be special to me in that respect, though I went on to find many of their earlier albums on vinyl, that was my first Rush vinyl and the best deal I ever got in my life!

I trust Amazon, but I don't trust my mailman in my town. He sucks, always losing stuff or delivering it late. He's getting so bad at it that the mail used to arrive around noon, now it's 4pm or later. I can get to Best Buy and back before 4 o clock any day. It's about time us atheists get a band that sticks up for us! The lyrics to BU2B and Faithless are seriously some of my favorite of Neil's. Glad I share the same views and get to enjoy them.

Also, impatience has nothing to do with how grateful you are for something. I love my girlfriend more than anything, and I can't WAIT to see her every night when I'm at work. Does that make me ungrateful for her? Don't think so. Same with Rush, I love them and I'm just getting impatient. Doesn't mean I'm ungrateful by any means.

The 3 things I'm most thankful for in my life (in this order): My Family My Girl Rush (and all other music I love), for getting me through some of the hardest times of my life. Don't say I'm ungrateful, you don't know me.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if Caravan and BU2B weren't 2 years old already. And they WERE giving us updates on the album previously, then they just stopped. They could say SOMETHING... anything.

I really can't believe we haven't heard anything yet. Is this album some kind of long-con joke or something? Cos it's getting freaking ridiculous that they won't say anything at all.

I will admit though, I bought a T4E shirt just because the cover art is on it. I like the album, but it's not in the top 5 for me based on music alone.

I love so many of them that I honestly can't make 1 choice for a vote. I know that's a cop-out excuse, but it's true. The only other band that I love their album art as much is Mastodon.
