  1. Going to be a lot different than the double trio. Definitely will.. that's one of the reasons I am looking forward to it.
  2. My friend Steve and I apparently are going to see Crimson in September. He's never seen them (something he can't quite believe because he's been aware of them forever)... and I've only seen them once (1995). Can't wait!!!
  3. Guess one would have to pick up a league of gentlemen and a few roches along the way......not to mention a fine session bassist/Stickist and a Bowie/Zappa tour alumni....
  4. My favorite live Stones release so far is "Brussels Affair"... it's EXPENSIVE as a CD, but for a time you could purchase it officially as a download... Holy crap... 1973 Mick Taylor-era. Just wonderful.
  5. The Police - Friends (B-side of De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da) The Police - Once Upon A Daydream (B-side of Synchronicity II - I think...) Genesis - It's Yourself (B-side of Your Own Special Way, for one) Genesis - Twilight Alehouse (B-side of I Know What I Like) Genesis - You Might Recall (B-side of Paperlate...later showed up on Three Sides Live).
  6. There's definitely somethin' that sounds out-of tune between the 2 guitars and the bass. But it kinda MAKES it, you know? It has extra attitude.
  7. 101. Owner Of A Lonely Heart - Yes 102. Boston - Smokin' 103. Sweet Child O' Mine- Guns N Roses 104. Modern Love - David Bowie 105. The Prisoner - Iron Maiden ...a Maiden tune with SEVERAL killer riffs. Really happy to see The Rover and Supernaut on the first part of the list :)
  8. That's a good list. I don't use any of those things that would tell me what mine is. Thanks! It's also a mix of studio and live versions.. I couldn't tell you more specific than that! (unless I looked into the metadada from last.fm or iTunes... ain't nobody got time for that!) Other than the play count on my iTunes, I decided to use last.fm starting in around 2010. Not sure why; maybe I thought it would be a fun, nerdy thing to do! :D Needless to say, I got hooked. Without either of these things, I'd have no idea either. :) Makes sense tho... since I do listen mostly to the 80s era (and up through 1992)....that said, the older stuff is getting more play these days.
  9. As of now... has it changed much since the last time? 1) Red Barchetta 2) Time Stand Still 3) Bravado 4) Dreamline 5) Ghost of a Chance 6) Subdivisions 7) Force Ten 8) The Spirit of Radio 9) Limelight 10) Xanadu
  10. I like to hear a band re-interpret their material for the stage. Obviously Neil and the dudes didn't want to do that, which necessitated triggering some parts. Whatever. :)
  11. I don't think I'd be able to do this either.. too daunting. Besides, there's always some fluctuation. But that was an interesting read!
  12. Lorraine, that's fabulous :)
  13. Yep. still my favorite Rush album as well. Shout out for Entre Nous. What a tightly arranged, perfect song.
  14. Man... what memories... I love the Cars. They were definitely one of the first bands I got into as a young kid... their first 4 albums are all gold to me (although the first 2 are the best).
  15. I really wanna go... but as of right now I have a gig of my own the same night they are in LA. Dammit!!
  16. Last Rush tune I heard was the live version of Spirit of Radio (from Exit...Stage Left)
  17. I don't have the ability to post YouTube clips atm... So... i'll just list a couple toonz and go listen to 'em if you wanna... Paul McCartney -- Tug Of War Thomas Dolby -- One Of Our Submarines Icicle Works -- Whisper To A Scream (Birds Fly)
  18. ^^^^ aaah the Plimsouls. I heard that song this morning on my way to work.
  19. I wanted to see ELO, and the Yes/Asia thingy, and a few other things... but work and conflicts got in the way. I'm usually gigging when concerts come to town. I usually joke that I get paid to miss shows :D
