  1. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Sep 13 2012, 02:11 PM) I'm pretty shocked by how little I like what I've heard of the new Kiss album and that's after really enjoying Sonic Boom. Disappointed. And I'm a Kiss apologist, that's how bleak it is. Where have you heard it... ...care to share? Been waiting for this one for awhile. It is strange, because I've heard nothing but good things about it.
  2. Amy, Great photos! I love Consol...I saw Van Halen there. Looked like a nice sunny day in Pittsburgh.
  3. QUOTE (Smug Monkey @ Sep 13 2012, 11:13 AM) Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Looking forward to discussing topics regarding the best band in the world! I will be going to my 4th Rush concert next Thursday in Columbus, OH. Welcome Smug Monkey... ...this is a great place, filled with great people. I know you'll enjoy it here. ~Peace, Love, Rush RGLT
  4. Dear FountainOfSyrinx, I want to wish my most sincerest condolences to you. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. "The Garden" is such a beautiful song and I am quite certain that your Mom is smiling down upon you. ~Peace, RGLT
  5. QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Sep 13 2012, 09:29 AM) Actually, I'm sorry Rush even started. Because the bar was set too damn high and it's nothing but disappointment as a result. Man, almost spit my espresso on the computer screen!!!

Led Zeppelin to release reunion concert film By Mike Collett-White, Reuters LONDON -- British rockers Led Zeppelin will release a concert film based on their 2007 charity performance in London that hits cinemas on Oct. 17, the band said on Thursday. The film, called "Celebration Day" and directed by Dick Carruthers, was taken from the long-awaited reunion of one of rock's most successful acts. The theatrical release will be across 1,500 screens in more than 40 territories, followed by an audio and video release on Nov. 19. There will be premieres in London, Los Angeles, New York and other major cities before the theatrical release, raising the possibility of seeing the three surviving band members on the same red carpet, if not the same stage. Advertise | AdChoicesThe band broke up in 1980 after the death of their drummer John Bonham, but despite repeated calls from millions of fans to get back together to tour and record, reunions have been fleeting and, by their own admission, unsatisfactory. But in 2007, singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bass player John Paul Jones, along with Bonham's son and drummer Jason, took the stage at London's O2 Arena for a tribute gig to Atlantic Records' founder Ahmet Ertegun. It was the first headline show by the band in 27 years, and according to Cineworld, the cinema chain which will screen the movie in Britain, it was the most over-subscribed gig in history after more than 20 million people applied for 18,000 tickets. The band, one of rock's biggest acts with global album sales estimated at up to 300 million, played 16 songs on the night including hits like "Whole Lotta Love", "Kashmir" and "Stairway to Heaven." The poster promoting the film features a cartoon of a zeppelin airship against a red sky above London's Houses of Parliament, reminiscent of the artwork on the band's 2007 compilation album "Mothership." Following is the track listing of the upcoming film, which will last just over two hours. 1. Good Times Bad Times 2. Ramble On 3. Black Dog 4. In My Time Of Dying 5. For Your Life 6. 7. I may be in the minority here, but I quite like the "Emerson, Lake, Powell" album from 1986. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/14/Emerson%2C_Lake_%26_Powell_-_Emerson%2C_Lake_%26_Powell_%281986%29_Front_Cover.jpg However, "Trilogy" is my most favourite.
  8. My wager is that there are two tours left after this one... *R40 *Farewell Tour ...yet, another reason I don't care what they play. I'm just enjoying every opportunity I have to see them live.

OK, so not exactly what I was hoping for, but still exciting. I can't wait to see this, then the BluRay/DVD release and hopefully an CD version as well. Hmm, think I'll start me day with a little Led Zeppelin...
  10. Either set list with the bonus tracks sound reasonable.

QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Sep 12 2012, 09:42 PM) Most anyone would tell you not to get the 1997 "The Rush Remasters" and rightly so. If you can afford the Sector box sets then YES that is the way to go. They are a big improvement over every Mercury version that precedes them. If you are an audiophile seek out the West German or Japanese versions. The Japanese SHM versions sound great to these ears.

  13. Thanks John, Just purchased this through Backstage Club, but it hasn't arrived yet. I love your Rush site...thanks for all of your hard work. ~RGLT

  15. QUOTE (Astroboy2112 @ Sep 10 2012, 11:32 PM) Im going to 2 shows with the mentality that this is the show with the most artistic integrity that i would ever see. This is the 100% uncompromised unfiltered artist's vision and me as a fan and paying customer what else can I ask for ?! I see this show as ONE big concept show about the human condition and i cant wait for the Newark and Brooklyn shows wo hoooo Agreed... ...I'll be at both of those shows as well. I am quite sure that I will leave both quite happy!
  16. Tough chocie, but I went with "B". I am seeing Newark and Brooklyn so I am most fortunaet to be catching both sets. Very happy, indeed!
  17. Enjoy your time away... ...looking forward to your posts when you are sprung from your personal isolation. You'd love the threads in the "on the Lighted Stage" section. Our fellow Rush fans are something else. I applaud your idea, I wish I could do that...stay strong! Have a great day! ~RGLT

QUOTE (ReRushed @ Sep 10 2012, 05:48 PM) QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Sep 10 2012, 05:46 PM) It would be so cool if was an announcement of them playing MSG in NYC like what was rumoured earlier this year. They would have to book 20 nights! The rumour was a three night stand, although I'm sure they'd sell out 20 nights in a flash.

QUOTE (driventotheedge @ Sep 10 2012, 04:03 PM) My guess: The O2 show gets released officially. I have heard nothing that makes me think Robert is willing to do a full blown Zep tour. If anyone has any contrary info PLEASE post a link. I have a pretty good sounding boot of this show, but would, most certainly, welcome an official release. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_GritAB6GzNE/TEcWdC0qe4I/AAAAAAAAApE/Pjs-Cbws2dk/s1600/(Bootleg)+Led+Zeppelin+-+Live+at+O2+Arena,+London,+10+December+2007.jpg
