  1. Somewhere between 50 and 60. First was December of 1974 at the Cleveland Agora. I was 14. That was a long time ago!
  2. Not sure about the cab but the $6.00 beer sounds like a good deal after Atlanta's $10.00 beer!
  3. You can't get in for the sound check. I was lucky enough to attend a sound check once and they keep it pretty private. You may be able to listen from outside the arena.
  4. Coming from the Chattanoga area.
  5. If you want to listen on your iPhone or iPad, there are a few apps in the AppStore that play FLAC.
  6. I've decided to make the drive to Charlotte and I need a ticket. I would like something within the first 15 rows. Let me know if you have something.
  7. QUOTE (av450 @ Sep 8 2012, 08:47 PM) QUOTE (likeclockwork @ Sep 8 2012, 07:04 PM) Limelight wasn't cut due to them running late. As far as I know the B songs are in the same spots as the songs they replace (ie - 3 in a row from Power Windows). I'd be so mad if they cut out grand designs. I do love middletown dreams though. I Agree. I am more excited about Grand Designs than any other song in the set list. I hope it doesn't get switched out.
  8. Love the set list. Especially the first set. GRAND DESIGNS!!! One of my very favorite Rush Songs. I really like Power Windows but would have traded some songs for a little more catalog diversity. All in all, I'm happy.
  9. QUOTE (drgrendel @ Sep 6 2012, 07:47 PM) I really like both PW and HYF. IMO, Second Nature would seem to fit rather well in the CA setlist. Second Nature is in my top five favorite Rush songs. Has been for a long time. I sincerely hope this is true. I just hope they don't do an acoustic version of it.
  10. QUOTE (Thunder Bay Rush @ Sep 5 2012, 09:21 PM) --snip-- Two questions - 1) Has anyone here seen every tour since 1974? 2) Has anyone here joined the 100 club for having attended at least 100 shows? I know a guy in Toronto who claims to have been to 104. That's hard-core... I have seen them somewhere between 50 and 60 times since 1974. Not 100 shows but I have seen every tour. First time at the Cleveland Agora in December of '74, last time in Nashville on the TM tour. I'm 52 and it's hard to believe I am still going to concerts (or should I say productions) and listening to new music by my favorite band since I was 14. Can't say that about many bands!
  11. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Sep 3 2012, 02:41 PM) They'll play it! Other than Available Light, The Garden is the only closer song since Power Windows they've recorded that should appear on a RUSH set list. Everything else has been pretty lame. I don't know about that...Everyday Glory is a GREAT song that would fit in any Rush set list.
  12. My tickets for ATL came in the mail today. Come on November 1st!!
  13. QUOTE (CygnusGal @ Aug 7 2012, 08:07 PM) Yes, that is a little disappointing. And closed, no less. Did he at least appear loving? I'm not sure. He wasn't there. I did feel quite content while I was taking the picture. Like I had everything I needed.
  14. I found The Watchmaker at a shop in Chattanooga, TN. Not quite what I imagined when I think of Chronos Square and Crown City. http://www.jd-photography.net/wm.jpg
  15. The first time I saw them was in a small venue. I think it was around $4.00. I do remember the second time because I had to bum the money from my mom. They opened for Ted Nugent. That ticket was $5.65
  16. QUOTE (Drummerrobin @ Jul 27 2012, 05:44 AM) I love the synth era too - Rush's most underrated work for sure. Though I seem to be in the minority in saying that I'd take PoW and HYF over Signals and GUP any day. The song writing and use of synths is far more effective on the later 2 of the synth albums imo. I couldn't agree with you more!!!
  17. QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Jul 22 2012, 09:55 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ Jul 22 2012, 08:45 PM) I can't say that the band really cares about cameras as long as they are point and shoot. Yah, the band may not care, but I'm more worried about the security dicks busting me. I'm 100 feet away from the stage (lower level, 7th row, facing the stage). I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i digital camera, so I doubt they'll let me bring it in. I could buy a smaller point-n-shoot just for the Show, and try to get in with that.....but with my rotten luck, they'll be dicks about it..... You will probably get in with a small P&S. Not an SLR.
  18. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jul 9 2012, 04:19 PM) I've only heard the lo-res youtube version of CA, and I refuse to purchase the CD based on my initial reaction to it. If anyone would be willing to point me to a good quality recording, I will give a fair listen and see if it "blooms" after a week. If I do see some early glimmers and it grows on me, like so many of you insist, I will buy the CD. If not, I will give an in-depth critique of each song, and the album as a whole. Thank u, Kurt really ????
  19. Went and saw Collective Soul in Atlanta last night. Very good show. Lots of energy.

QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Jun 30 2012, 09:38 PM) That's IF they play it live. We know nothing for sure yet. Yea, I know. I'm just hoping.

Alex's solo on "The Garden" is so full of emotion. I can't wait to see him play it live. I hope he extends it a little!!
