For me an Epic has to contain the following - Global Themes understood by everyone A total length that feels longer than the elapsed time A build up that toys with elements to come A message When you listen to Xanadu for example it feels like it is about 30 minutes long, even Jacobs Ladder does that. The message doesn't have to change your percption, but if it makes you consider and evaluate your own stance then that is a good thing. All art should force you to rejustify your position. Composition is everything ~ the only epic I will allow to have an "instant" start is By-Tor, and that is only because the latter solo has yet to lose its appeal.

They are old men who are still playing phenomenal rock music It's what it is, you can't have the 70's, 80's or any other era back. Learn to live in the moment while being midful of what came before and what is to come. We should be grateful for what we have had, what we are getting and whatever else they can provide. Scarlet Mist is a good site too - it is for genuine fans who just can't make the gig and don't want to make a profit like a scammer. Keep a close eye on it too becasue the best tickets always seem to come up just before the gig when "emergencies" cannot be factored in. Although I wouldn't recommend e-Bay etc, you will know where you are sitting and have the ticket in yor hand Finally, if you are a Rush fan and have never seen them, please make sure you go - it IS worth it

Can't agree with this list - If this is the bottom 9% of the Rush Catalogue according to Kenneth then something has gone badly wrong. Animate, Dreamline, Manhattan Project, CTTH, Availible Light should all be in the top half - seriously I know it is just personal taste and opinion, but c'mon what are your criteria?

UK is a similar pattern - All the decent seats have gone - a few halls have Sold Out but if you don't mind the climb and are happy to watch the Big Screen - still a few to go. No idea if this is usually th case - once the boys start - I don't bother looking to see how many made it ..

I am 46 and I can just about remember 8-Track I am assuming they must have lasted a lot longer in the US of A Why not open it up and ask if anyone has Rush on Betamax or Phillips 2000 laserdisc .. better still see who has it on the most rediculous format and can still access it !! Its no good having a wax cylinder if you don't have a wax-cylinder player
