  1. Holy crap! These look very impressive and pretty spot on!
  2. QUOTE (jonfiredaman02 @ Mar 5 2008, 02:22 PM) I've heard rumors that Geddy Lee, the famous musician, is a Rush fan. I lol'ed Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a fan. I remember reading somewhere that one of his qualifying lap and pre-race CDs is The Spirit of Radio compilation...yah its one of those, but hey at least the dude listens to good stuff!
  3. oooo, uh, I guess I had better tune in then Thank God basketball seasons over!
  4. Goob sorry I was absent again. ASU had a basketball game last night against UCLA...we got beat but we hung with them there for awhile in the first half! I have Pags' Rush Medley, was there anything else played last night?
  5. QUOTE (Drumnut @ Jul 31 2007, 03:54 PM) I have had a seizure disorder for years, in the morning and at night, I take 6 different drugs to try to control them, but I still have them. Anyone else have this horrible disease? Hey drum, this is the first time I can recall seeing this thread. I've had epilepsy since the 3rd grade. I've been taking meds pretty much my whole life. One pill a night before bed. I go to get an EEG almost annually. This past year is the first time I can recall not getting one because I moved to AZ but I am looking for a doc out here.
  6. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Feb 22 2008, 07:35 PM) QUOTE (progrush2112 @ Feb 21 2008, 10:19 PM) I also recently found The Mystic Astrological Crystal Band, as a download, though I thought I would never find it! Be a little careful in pursuing entire albums because I play a song on my show that you like. I only say that because very often I'll only really like one or two songs by a certain group, and the rest of the album can often be pretty mediocre, like with the Mystic Astrological Crystal Band. If you're just d/l'ing that's fine, but before buying an album I would also suggest researching them online some, and of course you can always ask me for my opinion too. I usually will have ProgArchives.com during the show to research. Good resource although they don't have everything. But will keep that in mind bro. thanks!
  7. 18. Pink Floyd - Let There Be More Light (1968 BBC recording) 19. Pink Floyd - Murderistic Women (1968 BBC recording) 20. Pink Floyd - Julia Dream (1968 BBC recording) Aww man! I bet these are good cuts! Need to listen soon.
  8. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Feb 21 2008, 08:48 AM) QUOTE (progrush2112 @ Feb 16 2008, 07:05 PM) Goob! I found a copy of Kaleidoscope-Incredible! today...only 6.99!! Hey, sorry for the late response - did you get the cd? None of their cd's are perfect and all have some filler, but that is definitely their BEST one. A Beacon From Mars and Side Trips I'm glad I own for a few songs, but they have even more filler. Stay far away from their record "Bernice" - that one's kind of a clunker. Yeah I did get it. I can listen to the whole album without really getting bored. "Lie to Me" "Let the Good Love Flow" and "Banjo" are my favorite cuts. I also recently found The Mystic Astrological Crystal Band, as a download, though I thought I would never find it! Sorry I missed todays show..Arizona State had a basketball game and I had to play my horn tonight. Will listen to the show when you post the link though!

  12. Hey everyone! I know some of you have to recall a certain comedy troupe show called SCTV. And a few of you even recall a bit known as the Happy Wanderers featuring the Schmenge Brothers AKA John Candy and Eugene Levy. Well I got a treat for my friends here at TRF. My dad sent me a link that one of his student teachers put on YouTube last month. Here are various clips of the Happy Wanderers for your viewing pleasure! New Wave Schmenge Linsk Minyk Schmenge Bros. on David Letterman 1 of 2 Schmenge Bros. on David Letterman 2 of 2 Happy Wanderers Tribute to John Williams 1 of 2 Happy Wanders Tribute to John Williams 2 of 2 I think there's a few more but these are my favorites!

  14. QUOTE (BestIKenster @ Feb 14 2008, 05:42 PM) QUOTE (progrush2112 @ Feb 14 2008, 04:29 PM) One of my absolute favorites of all time. Wanted to see this movie for a long time since I saw it on VH1's I Love the 80s. Over Christmas break, I saw that it was on AMC late at night. So I was like hey, what the hell, and stayed up to watch it and was blown away. The soundtracks very hip and the plot is great! Got the Director's Cut DVD a few weeks ago and have watched it almost weekly. The Baseball Furies are my favorite gang besides the Warriors, the first time I saw them waiting for the Warriors at the station I got chills. QUOTE "I'll shove that bat so far up your a** I'll turn you into a popsicle". Best. Line. Ever. James Remar-AJAX, ToTally agree, although I think it's F*cking popsicle. Hahaha, yeah that would be correct!

  16. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Feb 14 2008, 02:07 PM) BTW, this is a great oppotunity for those without Valentine's to hang out with some friends [/he'll say anything to get people to listen]. Haha, indeed! As I have no valentine
  17. Great show tonight Goob! I really had a fun time. I will definantly tune in again to hear some new music. New to me anyway... Everyone needs to listen in, its awesome!
  18. I can't believe I've never seen that! LOL
  19. Okay so it's the video game, not the actual movie, but even though its not the real thing its pretty accurate. It's the opening to , and its pretty much my favorite movie right now. Barry De Vorzon's score is awesome!
  20. Floyd. Without a doubt. Although theres no comparison to the two groups. Both are pioneers.
  21. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jan 22 2008, 08:46 AM) As much as I love Cloverfield, I don't want a sequel done the same way. It would feel cheap. Something like a fake documentary with news footage and interviews and all that would be cool if they wanted to explain the story more. But even that seems better suited as a DVD extra, not a seperate film. Agreed. I loved the movie but I had so many questions that I wanted answered and although I researched and found some reasonable answers, theories, methods, etc, I wanna know the backstory and what was going on in JJ Abrams mind when they were doing the film. A 2 Disc extended directors collectors edition thingy would more than suffice for me.
  22. Both Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys are gonna be in town in March. Sadly I think I can only afford one.
  23. Looking forward to Ayreon and Mars Volta!
