  7. QUOTE (greg2112 @ Jan 11 2012, 07:49 AM) Hes done a good job overall on this, with the exception of the recent Grunge episode. His attempt to link grunge and metal, was a bit strained to say the least. I have to agree, although I consider Alice In Chains and Soundgarden metal.
  8. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Dec 30 2011, 03:23 PM) QUOTE (The Big Money @ Dec 30 2011, 03:14 PM) Awesome! INDOOR SHOWS!!!! Yes. Awesome. Hate sheds.. much prefer arenas... Especially since Nashville no longer has a shed. The show in April was my first one indoors for Rush, and it is much preferred.

  12. 'Malignant Narcissism' would be a cool entrance theme for a fighter/wrestler. Oh and I remember Kerry Von Erich coming out to Tom Sawyer.

But at least we got to see it get cut in half and see a bunch of blood and internal organs fall everywhere Definitely an example of quality over quantity. That scene flat out rocked!!!!

  17. QUOTE (cfmoran13 @ Oct 10 2011, 09:48 AM) Collective Soul/ Aerosmith 08/26/1994 Roanoke Civic Center, Roanoke VA This was on Aerosmith's 'Get A Grip' tour, back in the heyday of the Alicia Silverstone video craze. At this show, they played all 3 of those songs ("Cryin'", "Crazy", and "Amazing"). And, if I'm not mistaken, they played them all right after the other. All of the teeny-boppers were loving it. But, I wanted to hear "Seasons Of Wither", "Kings And Queens", "Big Ten Inch Record" and stuff like that. Guess I was a couple decades too late for that! I saw that show in Kansas City. Aerosmith definitely phoned it in that night, and looked totally uninspired. They did play 'Seasons of Wither' though.
  18. Actually The Three Stooges are shown on AMC and IFC halfway regularly. TCM will occasionally show Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costelly, and The Marx Brothers.
  19. A friend of mine asked me the other day why I believe the RNRHOF is a joke. He doesn't really follow music that much, but this is what I told him. It's called the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Madonna was inducted before Black Sabbath! He understood completely.
  20. QUOTE (raygun47 @ Sep 21 2011, 04:50 PM) QUOTE (ReRushed @ Sep 21 2011, 04:39 PM) I loved them. A great band, in my opinion. I pretty much followed them from the very beginning. Great music and memories. I think they recorded several brilliant albums. Yeah, they held together for too long, but still managed to write a good song from time to time. I'll miss 'em. I loved them too. Great live act back in the day as well. Saw them in '95 and it was a great show!
  21. Under a Glass Moon, with Learning to Live a close second
  22. Back in '99, I was working at an HH Gregg store. As the store was getting ready to close, a co-worker and myself were turning off the stereos in the two audio rooms we had. One room had the oldies station on, while the other room had the modern rock station on. We went into the room with the modern rock station and Pearl Jam's version of 'Last Kiss' was playing. Then we went into the room with the oldies station and the original 'Last Kiss' was playing. That was kind of odd.
