  1. Songs that should definatly be played- All of them (what a show) Songs that should actually not be played- none of them (if confused please refer to 1st statement) After all this is Rush are there any bad songs? Maybe some completely wierd, but not bad... O;-P
  2. I can say I will look at the set list. I have ever since the explosiosive expansion of the information age. I actually in my old age like knowing what to be prepared for. I do however love the concept my 3 friends have come up with, which is the A-B set list format! this adds the optimum excitement for a 51yr olds(tomorrow, thanks in advance for another day) life... Bieng un able to gallop across the galaxy (which I may add is a game for the young) and be able to see shows with each of the set list. Generates a certian amount of excitement even in knowing there is unknowing. I would be happy hearing any song they play live including the complete oddities such as the likes of Rivendell or Tai Shan. I know what a CRAZY thought!!!, but I have such respect for these guys it wouldn't matter. I would literally faint if I heard tracks off COS like "The Valley" or "The Necromancer" or even "I think I'm Giong Bald" which would be (impo) the perfect metaphor of the band & how they crawled out of the ashes of what looked like certian doom for them in the wee early days to become the old legendary rockin farts they are today!!!! I Love This Band!!! I'll se Y'all in Tampa. Be safe O;-P
  3. Well it all started with the Blah,Blah,Blah tour & I was HOOKED, Then the Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah tour, then through to the Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah, Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah. I can absolutly confirm none of them were just Blah They were F@#k#N BLAH ! BLAH !!, F@#k#N BLAAAAAAAAHHH !!!! ;-D
  4. The (LEGENDARY) Spirit of Radio    :rush:
  5. R-30- 2004, Tampa FL. Myself, Better 1/2 (wife), Daughter 15 with her best girlfriend (also 15), Son 10, Daughter 6... All of us rocked out, also got ALOT of positive feedback from other fans'n'families that were there. One of my best memories ever!! and untill this day all of the kids that were there still talk about that super wonderfull evening with Rush.
  6. one word! "FRICKENHALARIOUS" luvem, luvem, luvem...
  7. My most favorite one(s) above ALL others. Alex spanking the six string, with Geddy and Neal do the same in there respective parts all at the same time :D
  8. I would love to hear all those songs with the strings! Before I actually heard it my self live and how well it complemented the holy trinity ;-) I would have been skeptical. But in the world of the now the only downside for me personally, is now when my lovely better half demands that I attend a concert performed by a group or her choice. I can no longer tell her that there were too many people on stage. LOL
  9. Hello, All y'all out there in Rush land. I just wanted to give a shout out and say still loving the CA material. Sooo rich, sooo deep. Well anyhoo. I stumbled across T4E the other moment and when listining to 1/2tw I was thinking live with the string section would sound good. I know it would be slightly tweeked a bit I belive alex uses a sinth/- mandolin or so it appears to my ears. Plus any opportunity to keep the string dimension with the live performances which I personally really enjoyed (especially with Audry S. LOL) I would be in very much favor of. I recently heard an interview clip with Geddy on a British radio program claiming the band was going to take a well deserved rest after the 2013 European tour concludes. I hope they get rested quickly LOL. Back to the 1/2tw idea what do you think or name some you would also sound good live w/strings? Rush Rules!
  10. And did I forget to mention that, If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice :codger:
  11. Hey no harm no foul, everyone knows what opinions are like . Potato - Tomato :codger: I say Play'em all I say Album By Album! What a festival shows. For the next hour, day, week, year, deacade, a different choice of favorite will be made!
  12. WoW I would love to hear all the songs mentioned in this thread loved or reviled played live. And I would say to 'The Accountant" that Animate is the best song on Counterparts with Double Agent or Leave That Thing Alone tied for a close second (IMO :ebert: ) I have had the gift of hearing all 3 (no pun intended) live  . My wish would be the 'BOYS" would adopt what they did during the Time Machine tour and play entire albums note for note (well maybe some improv :7up: ) begining to end. Doesn't matter which order or which one. All would be AWESOME! :rush:
  13. Hey Swami, Thanks for rekindling AWESOME memories :rush: :haz: :laughing yellow guy: :ebert:
  14. The fountian is my favorite song(s) this week (lol) but the Necromancer has the best jam segment.
  15. Thats too bad because you will be missing an awesome show. I was at the Tampa show the Band was at its best or better than ever. I can fully understand and relate the financial aspect situation. These last few years have been very hard on us. Both my wife and I are both out of work and I was debating on even bieng able to shell out the money for the cheapest seats in the house, at our amphitheater is the lawn which is general admission and far, far, far away from the stage. My other option was just to go and hang out in the parking lot and listen from outside. Well I figured one only lives once (or so they say) and decided that I would do whatever fiscal juggling to make it inside with my main new motto "being in there at least is where it's at" After all said and done it was a very good choice to make on my part because the show was fricken absolutely awesome and I'm so happy that I decided to go. My wife eventhough at first was on my A$$ for spending what we really didn't have said that she was happy we decided to go stating that it was the best show since R-30. She really wasn't familliar with the CA material but loved how it all came together live. Just keep in mind that the opportunity to see this power rock trio cannot go on for ever (eventhough they're music will) and the day will be here sooner than we all think where we will be saying "man, I wish Rush was still touring because they could ROCK the house down" Yes there will be plenty of recorded live performances both on video and audio but both do not come close to the experience of seeing it live. Which I realize is stating the obvious but it's food for thought.
  16. I Thought the new vds were cute but a little long. I was so hoping to see more of the Ga-Filter bit and those crazy characters. But the one thing I respect this band the most is they're always gonna mix it up :-) So it's all good. Tampa show was Fricken AWESOME I'm still in recovery mode :-)
  17. I have to say I love Limelight But I'm very pleased that the band decided to keep the night "A" set list for last nights Tampa show in tact with the exception of the swap of workingman for The spirit of radio. It's just I have seen them perform limelight for many many tours and I hear it on the radio constantly. One of my favorite memorys of Limelight is during Time Machine tour when they played the whole Moving Pictures album note for note and even them I was more blown away by The Camera Eye which I had not witnessed live since the MP tour back in the early "80's" . I really appreciate this new trend for the deep cuts. It is a wonderful feeling, seeing/hearing a song performed that has not been done in 20+ years. Most of my favorite rush songs never(very, very, very rarely) air on the radio so it is a real treat to hear them performed live. Also it seemed all the material was thematically selected to match with the clockwork angels saga. I would have liked them to swap Tom Sayer for The Pass but still an awesome show none the less.
  18. WoW I got my wish for the Tampa show tonight!! Night "A" Set with the TSOR in the mix :-) Everything sounded very crisp. I really enjoyed the CA material and the awesome tribute to some very deep cuts, in which untill I actually heard with my own ears might have denied all the spoilers I have read. These guy's never cease to amaze me!
  19. I will be there on the lawn, but in there at least is where it's at :-) I hope we see the night "A" set :-)
  20. self and better 1/2 at Clockw(izzard)ork Angels tomorrow NIGHT!!! 2012 ;-)
  21. R-30 Tampa 2004 self, better 1/2 and all 3 kids 16-8 Awesome Show :-)
