    I'll NEVER tell!
  1. What a show! (The Happy Birthday Clowns were a nice touch!) I thought Geddy's voice was surprisingly mellow and smooth. Alex kept telling his technician, "Too Loud" during one song, but I don't remember which one. He seemed really distracted there for about 30 seconds.
  2. I've been many times, my cousin used to live there. There is too much to do for just a week! Take a helicopter trip on Kauai for sure. Go to the North Shore on Oahu. Spend at least a month on The Big Island!
  3. Have any of you ever had to accept an award? Were millions of people looking at you and analyzing every word you spoke? Did you receive an award after almost 40 years of backbreaking work in your field? No, I didn't think so! Until you are in the same shoes as Alex, SHUT UP.
  4. This is the EXACT injury I sustained in January! I slipped on a wet floor at work. My MRI showed that I had torn the MCL. The orthopedic doctor said that surgery might be necessary, but he wanted me to have physical therapy for awhile first. The good news is that I'm almost back to normal now and it doesn't look like surgery will be necessary. I did EVERYTHING they told me to do. Most importantly, keep ice on it for at least half an hour, two to three times a day. It's a hassle, but it works! And you'll have to do this for at least two months. The healing process is a long one. It's been three months since my accident and today is the first day I came to work without wearing my knee brace. Good luck!
  5. I was sitting there by myself in absolute silence at the beginning of the show. I was on the edge of my seat when the Inductees were being announced. Randy Newman, ........ After listening to most of the inductees, all it took for me was the word "Toronto" and I blasted out of my seat in total excitement. I screamed and clapped as loud and as hard as my body could. Was that wrong?
  6. I was very proud of my fellow Rush fans, (for the most part), during what seemed like an ENDLESS amount of time to wait for the Grand Finale! However... Yes, HOWEVER! I heard a small group of male voices coming from the upper balcony to the right who were being very disruptive and disrespectful during Quincy Jones's acceptance speech. They were yelling for him to get off the stage and then they chanted Rush, Rush, Rush. At that point, I was mortified for every Rush fan around the world who might be judged by this behavior. They started up again while Harry Belefonte was speaking! If we, as Rush fans, expect the music world to respect our band, how in the hell can we show such DISrespect to anyone else? And QUINCY JONES...for crying out loud? Yes, he rambled on for a long time and repeated himself for nearly half an hour. GUESS WHAT? He's f***ing EARNED his little bit of time on stage after a career such as his! I was happy to listen to the wisdom he wanted to share. The only thing I stressed about during his time on stage was the fact that poor Oprah had to stand there behind him like a statue in heels! She's magnificent. As for the hecklers, I heard some commotion going on behind me shortly thereafter by security people. I sincerely hope that the jerks up in the balcony who kept yelling for Rush were kicked to the curb. Fortunately, the people in the front who were sitting with the band DIDN'T hear it at all!
  7. He wouldn't have been able to do it without the teleprompter.
  8. I'll have to admit, I HAD to leave the auditorium for part of Public Enemy's performance...I just couldn't listen to another minute of it! There were TONS of people out in the lobby areas and in the restrooms doing the same thing. (Sort of like taking a snack and pee break during commercials).
  9. Only 49 hours to go! I can't wait, I can't wait, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
  10. I have a single ticket for the Induction Ceremony up for sale on ebay, (and on a couple of other ticket sites), but I'd rather sell it to a Rush fan! I bought it directly from Ticketmaster during the presale for American Express card holders. This seat is located on the floor, (Orchestra Level) in the 300 section, almost dead center, a little to Alex's side! It is in row FF, which is about two-thirds up from the front row. This is a great seat! I paid close to $800 for the ticket, but I'll let it go for $650. Please PM me before it sells to someone who doesn't give a rat's ass about Rush. We NEED all the Rush fans in that audience that we can get!
  11. Here is a link to a site that gives the set list for every concert, including last night's in Vegas! http://www.setlist.fm/search?query=rush
  12. My perfect living environment must have a Trader Joe's nearby.
  13. OK, I can now confirm that I am an addict. I can't stop watching your videos! The Gorge show was the best Rush show I've ever seen and you have definitely captured a good portion of it. Good heavens, look at the time! It's almost 4:00AM and I'm sitting here at my computer, watching Rush videos.
