  1. I agree the guitar/bass tones do get a little samey, but I dig it. They switched singers in the one album Altered State. Some really killer stuff on that record. check this if you haven't heard it yet http://youtu.be/O-hnSlicxV4
  2. Great prog metal band Britain, Surprised I haven't heard more talk about them on this board. Check it out http://youtu.be/g4qmnWCQh8g
  3. This show cleaned up at the Emmys, deservedly. Very clever. yep im binging it right now. Very funny.
  4. Very good wrap up to the Marvel movies of the last 10 years. Kind of long for one sitting. I watched it over 2 nights
  5. Tim always keeps a box of Kleenex next to his Rickenbacker, which I find suspect.
  6. As an album that you play through from start to finish, I definitely like it better than 10,000 Days. I miss not having at least one snappy shorter song like "Vicarious" but that's a minor quibble. I downloaded the album from HD Tracks. Hi-res flac files. It sounds phenomenal on my home theater system. I'm definitely diggin' it but I need a road trip so I can really take the time to listen in it's entirely.
  7. Man...seeing that pic really makes it burn that I passed on attending. Why man why did you pass?
  8. Which ones haven't you seen? Most of the newer ones...i should catch up. Yes, you should familiarize yourself with the new cast: Rey, Ben (Kylo Ren), Finn, Poe Dameron, BB-8, et al. The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi take place about 30 years after Return of The Jedi. The Empire has lost its stranglehold over the Galaxy, but the remaining forces form The First Order, which seeks to create a new empire and crush the Galactic Republic and Resistance once and for all. and don't listen to the Last Jedi haters. It was great.
  9. Now that the Skywalker story is coming to a close, many fans (especially the older ones) will walk away after Episode IX has its run. Going to the cinema to see a Star Wars film may lose its lustre. I think you are under estimating Star Wars fandom. I am not that big of a Star Wars geek and I'm not walking away after IX. I'm 57.
  10. Are you saying it was kind of a re-edit or that they used different R40 footage? If that's the case then I'm definitely in on the DVD. Both. It was a mixture of footage from the R40 home video release, alternate R40 footage, and a different editing style. I really like the editing style, wish they'd redone the entire concert that way. The editing definitely felt more cinematic
  11. Never watched the R40 DVD so it was awesome to see it on the big screen with the killer sound system. And Losing It was SO GOOD!!! it reminded me of the old days of seeing Song Remains The Same in the theater.
  12. Last 3 episode were epic, and yes that opening scene was very dark.
  13. I forget his member name...
  14. It was great hanging with you guys for my 60th and final show
  15. This movie is just f***ing amazing. YES. The sequel wasn't a masterpiece but I thought it was really good.
  16. I didn't find it a waste entirely, but...I felt a little like we may have just watched the worst episode yet. Not everything worked (Serena gets cut and...just walks away?). with the limited amount of episodes, this seemed like filler.
  17. The EP through Promised Land is all you need. They feel off a cliff worse than any great band ever did after that. Agree with this. There are one or two songs off subsequent albums that I agree with.
  18. what a waste of an episode last night
  19. agreed. this season is starting to show some cracks but I am still loving it. I just hope it never gets GOT season 8 bad.
