  1. I've been saying that for years. I've said it on TRF a dozen or so many times but this is the first time I've read anyone else ripping him. Just terrible terrible comedy in every sense: the jokes, the delivery, you name it. It's a pretty good list of completely overrated comedic actors but Ferrel and Schneider stand out above the rest as being especially terrible.
  2. Will Ferrel I'd probably the unfunniet person alive. Why he is so popular is a mystery to me.
  3. I like him and he has made some of my favorite movies but he has made a few that were okay but not ones I want to watch over and over. He creates great characters and writes great dialogue for them.
  4. How can you be worth $500 Million and live beyond your means? What's he buying islands made of gold? Most wealthy people don't keep their money in cash. He owns restaurants and hotels and I guess things aren't\haven't been doing all that well. I wonder why they always feel they have to "invest" their money? These businesses fail more often than not. If you don't invest and live like a movie star does, then you go broke eventually. But I guess he just made poor investments.

  6. I thought season 1 was okay. I got lost in season two and just couldn't stick with it.
  7. I watched the first five seasons through a few times while it was on Netflix. It's a great background show because I have seen them all so many times I have them memorized.
  8. Nightwish at Wacken 2013. I have watched this a dozen times in the last two weeks.
  9. This one's hard for me because I like both of them. Dave had a better body of work with VH. So I will go with him. I like solo stuff from both of them as well and Sammy was great with Montrose. Tough choice.
  10. I just read a story about him the other day. He's apparently in a court battle with his ex wife over her credit card limits. Apparently he just lives way beyond his means and actually is really hard up for money. Has serious debt, etc, etc.
  11. Do yourself a favor and watch The Sting. I can't believe you haven't seen it. Me neither! Paul Newman was a classic pro. There are a bunch of his movies which I haven’t seen that I just never got around to Saw it on Showtime streaming a year ago. Great twist ending. Exactly. Also, R.I.P. Paul Newman Too bad Cars was his last movie to really shine him in... when he was alive Two of my favorite, lesser know Newman movies are Absence of Malice and Nobody's Fool. The Verdict is my personal favorite of his. The latter is the most underrated performance I’ve seen from Bruce Willis as well. The Verdict is also a classic.
  12. On a list of front men, none of whom could sing, Dave was the best entertainer.
  13. It's been years since I've seen an episode of that show...... So NY, so funny. There is a bit of an issue with lost episodes though. The first season was all in tact. But now the episode numbers in season two are jumping around. It looks like the rest of the seasons have the same problem. I'm guessing since it's an older show that some of the tapes got lost or damaged over the years. I don't see why there would be any legal issues as to why that many episodes aren't there. I am still enjoying the watch though and that's what matters most. I have the whole series on DVD so it's not that the episodes aren't intact. Very strange. As I said, I couldn't really imagine the issue being anything other than old tapes getting lost or damaged. What year was that DVD collection released? Maybe something happened between then and when Hulu got the show. EDIT: I was looking it up online and it appears the issue could be the use of licensed music in the episodes. If that's the case then why was it ok for DVD release but not ok for streaming? Also, there is only like 10 episodes in season two on hulu. That means they used licensed music in half the episodes that season and couldn't show them? I know this seems like an odd thing to get hung up on. It's just I have never encountered this when streaming a show before. Missing episodes of Taxi. Don't know about this specific show but I do know that in most cases when this happens it is due to music rights. A song was heard or played in the show and they never bothered to negotiate streaming rights- which are different than reruns rights or DVD rights It's just crazy that so many episodes are missing because of that. I mean the one where Ignatowski takes his driver's test is missing. That really sucks. I'm sure the DVDs aren't too expensive. I should try that. That was a classic episode.

  15. This is what I was thinking. None of those guys have good voices. DLR is the best front man in this group. And his inability to sing and yet still be recognized as a great front man is all the more proof of what a great front man he was!!
