  1. Anyone saying they have it figured out should approach it like this: It’s the combo of all the instruments that makes the sound. Can’t be duplicated on just one.
  2. Neither bands music is my cup of tea but Karen’s voice was sublime so easy choice.
  3. Any man that masturbates in front of an unwilling participant is wielding power and a not so subtle threat of further escalation. It’s defintely a sexual assault.
  4. Agreed. I thought it was made clear that eventual “success” was only due to that experience
  5. A hearty SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNN to Tick.
  6. That album sounds incredible when you listen to a lot of contemporaries
  7. Have you seen the signs of his return? Every time you hear a rush song, see a random example of 2112 in the wild or see a famous person shun their fans it’s a harbinger of Neil’s return from whence he took his leave from the unwashed heathers that make up rush fans. Keep your eyes and ears pealed my friends. When he returns have a strategy to avoid his location to avoid unwanted eye contact.
  8. You forgot @bout the pot stirring posts like “is he back yet?”
  9. All signs point to Neil’s return on December 21, 2112. Preparations can begin now though.
  10. Yes, she’s very nice I. Hope all is well.
  11. Agreed but saying you don’t like them is completely different than saying they’re not a good band. On that note, which bands would qualify as "not good"? Gotta ask the OP but maybe some punk bands.
  12. 70s for sure. I wish some of the 70s stuff had the good sound of some of the 80s like S4V. Point of entry sounds like shit but has good songs that kill live.
  13. Agreed but saying you don’t like them is completely different than saying they’re not a good band.
  14. To say they’re not a good band is a bit silly. If you don’t like them that’s fine but I think we have to admit that no band can not be good and accomplish what they have. They are tight and have technical prowess. They are in tune and their singer can control his pitch. What exactly are you looking at when you say they’re not good?
  15. Jacksonville? That’s interesting. Tempted but I saw him at the top (?) of his game in the 80s
  16. He's a talented songwriter and an incredible performer that puts his heart and soul into what he does. That resonates. My wife just saw him on his recent tour and loved it. I'm not a huge country fan, but it's not hard for me to recognize why Brooks rises above other artists in that genre in terms of popularity and sales. Another good question is why does it bother anyone that some people like Garth Brooks? Yet another is how much better is Garth than a lot of pop out there right now?
  17. All of them are greats. Depending on the mood I could vote for at least 4or 5 of this list for all of the reasons mentioned. I voted for Page and, to a certain extent, it’s a bit of a misvote since so much of his genius material was not technically on electric guitar.
