  1. QUOTE (Sodoff Baldrick @ Jul 19 2006, 02:12 PM) He was also on John Larroquette's show Wasen't that a rip off of John Cleese "Fawlty Towers"? FT is still a laugh riot to watch after all these years! Wish they would of made more episodes then they did.
  2. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jul 19 2006, 10:22 AM) 'Family Guy' jumped the shark when they brought back the series. None of the new eps have been as funny as the originals. I'm addicted to the Family Guy still find it hilarious. Now the spin off American Dad ? It has it's moments but dosen't work when you hear the same voices from Family Guy doing it's characters. I think even putting this on the air in the first place jumps the shark.
  3. QUOTE (floydfanatic111 @ Jul 10 2006, 01:41 AM) The film's title track Heavy Metal from Sammy Hagar was also on his Standing Hampton album released in 1981 Veteran of the Psychic Wars from Blue Oyster Cult would appear on their Fire of Unknown Origin album Good album by Sammy. Last good album by B.O.C. (Seen them this tour they kicked ass) Years later they sucked ass playing my home town Canton dance club called The Limelight club ninja was the album they had out at the time. Half way thru Don't fear the reaper lead singer forgot words and they started over again. How embarrassing is that!
  4. QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jul 5 2006, 03:37 PM) QUOTE (Alien Girl @ Jul 5 2006, 04:33 PM) Well, at least they're cutting down on the 'movies based on old tv shows' thing they had going on a few years ago....or have they? Actually, it's been going on for much longer. "The Addams Family" and "Beverly Hillbillies" came out in the early 90's. Worse yet I heard there making a movie on "Threes Company" WHY FOR GOD'S SAKE ARE THEY KNOCKING ON THAT DOOR!!
  5. QUOTE (Slime @ Jul 5 2006, 01:56 PM) I've only seen the newer Heavy Metal movie. It was lame. Is the original good? I never seen the second one but have read plenty of bad reviews like yours! Seen original three times at theater and when it was finally out on video bought it. What was the hold up with it's release? Remember it was a long while after theater run. Use to be a big fan of magazine still have some issues buried away somewhere. Is it still around? GeddyRulz mentioned Ralph Bakshi, not many will agree with me but I liked his version of "LOR" That was another one that was hard to find on video.
  6. Gods and Generals was so horribly long(Close to 4hrs) and awful to watch but I was determined to reach the end. My legs were numb for sitting so long another casualty of the war between the states!
  7. QUOTE (kazzman @ Jul 1 2006, 03:04 PM) Then don't pay attention to it. I don't no matter how hard they try!
  8. I'm tired of all the super hero movies and the merchandise hype that goes with it.
  9. QUOTE (Slime @ Jun 7 2006, 02:18 PM) I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the original cover to Scorpions "Virgin Killer", but I guess the general mood of this thread is "hilariously bad" rather than "damn near criminal". That cover is sick, and worst of all it was her PARENT'S idea I do remember that album !

  12. QUOTE (anagramking @ May 20 2006, 01:05 AM) QUOTE (daveyt @ May 18 2006, 09:16 PM) rachel is dumb. she has no idea how to cook and she has a contract on her weight. plus she absolutly hates her job. "how awesome is that!" rachel is the queen of dead-speak the only thing hot about rachel is her huge mouth Where do you hear all that? Her recipes are good. At least the ones my wife has used, anyway. Her show about eating in a town on $40 a day is good, too. Yeah,I like her to.
  13. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ May 10 2006, 06:41 AM)
  14. Just realized only three episodes left! Theres alot of unresolved issues hope it dosen't end in a disappointing flat fashion say like Seinfield last episode. Vito? Junior? Chris back on the junk? To name a few and the numerous subplots find it hard to believe they'll be able to explain everything with just three episodes left.
  15. How about Lauren Bacall getting punched! Wasen't expecting that!
  16. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Apr 25 2006, 08:06 AM) I think Gods and Generals from 2003 had an intermission. And it should of had at least two more,What a struggle it was to sit through this close to 4hr piece of crap. This version of war is indeed hell!
  17. The tour dates on some of those RUSH archive sites are not completely accurate for instance Moving Pictures tour they added a secound show at Richfield coliseum which was the one I attended and have ticket stub as proof with RUSH 2 on the corner next to seat sec and row,But this concert not listed on any of those sites!
  18. QUOTE (Modest Man From Mandrake @ Apr 6 2006, 08:35 AM) I just hope this whole near death thing doesn't make Tony all soft. I agree with AK. I think Paulie will have an early exit, "God Forbid". I hope not on both counts! (Vito still seems the obvious choice to me to get whacked)
  19. QUOTE (anagramking @ Apr 4 2006, 02:47 AM) QUOTE (softfilter @ Apr 4 2006, 02:15 AM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Apr 2 2006, 10:13 PM) Paulie's going to get reamed for that knee-job he pulled at the end. If and when Tony finds out about it. (possibly Tony set this up to appear Paulie did this on his own) Ya know the kid was going to get it somehow, I can't believe Tony would just let it go just because he talked to his ma. Business is business someone screws up someone's going to pay! And this way it looks like he kept his word . How long till Vitos demise with Carmela warning Tony about him he won't make it to the last episode... Paulie was dealing with the issues with his own mother/aunt. The kid was a target for Paulie to take out all his anger about his situation. Tony will know if the kid ends up in the hospital for this, and then we'll see what happens after that. I'm thinking Paulie might be a candidate for an early exit, also. If things get worse with Johnny Sack, they could use Paulie's past overtures towards Carmine (when he was still alive) against him. Vito could also try to double cross him about what he said about Carmela, and possibly succeed in getting him whacked. Chris is always a candidate for retribution from Phil, Johnny Sack's deputy, and vice versa. Silvio might be done in by his asthma before anything else. And we still haven't come full circle with Chris and the FBI and the Pakistani who dealt at his club. I await what happens there. Good observations quite possible scenarios. Still think Tony might be behind Paulies (knee job) He keeps his word to his ma didn't bump him off and now he works for Tony ........ I mean Paulie.

  21. QUOTE (Milton Bridge @ Mar 31 2006, 02:41 PM) I hated The Doors - at the end I thought Jim Morrison was a sad wasted junkie that didn't deserve the adulation. I always liked the Doors but I totally agree with your'e comment on Jim Morrison. When i was younger the myth of his other worldly greatness was absorbed in a cloud of pot smoke. Then I matured and realized it was all bull shit. No doubt he wrote some amazing song poetry but seeing and hearing him stumble along in a alcoholic drug daze, the in awe factor disappeared and the reality set in. A no direction self pity hippie who destroyed the spark of his own genius. The myth continues but for me Jim Morrison was knocked off that pedestal shortly after my teenage years.
  22. The Buddy Holly Story. Only thing weirdo Gary Busey done worth watching!
  23. I got a feeling Vito won't be around for to long, with what he said about wanting to do Carmela in.( sure Paulie called her a f in bitch for having to fork over some of the loot but he wouldn't go that far!) And Vitos over zealous remarks for wanting to take over when Silvio went down is only going to bring him closer to sleeping with the fishes.. Funny moment when Vito bumped into Meadow Soprano boy friend Finn the look of terror in his eyes OH SH*T!
  24. QUOTE (GeneticBlend @ Mar 24 2006, 12:24 AM) Caligula (woops, wrong list)
