The Garden is one of their best and most gorgeous songs, bar none.

Yeah this song has quickly become my #1 favorite tune on CA. They just went all-out on it, delivered the whole package, etc.

I have a soft spot for In the End. It just works as a closers. Also love Natural Science, Vital Signs, Between the Wheels, High Water, and especially Out of the Cradle. We Hold On is solid too. The Garden is a gorgeous track. Not sure if I could pick just one favorite...

WOW The Garden is so beautiful, holy crap. So smooth, excellent choice for the closer.

This song really stuck out to me on my initial listen. Nice & reserved, a bit calmer than all of the previous tracks. Great melody - and I absolutely love the strings!

The Cowbell making a brief appearance in the intro of Seven Cities of Gold.

On "Carnies" right now...really digging the record so far. Kind of reminds me of VT in some ways, kind of harkens back to that raw, gritty, heavy style. Not the biggest fan of the production, I feel like the drums are buried underneath the guitars in a lot of cases. But it still does sound good enough. The actual songs are kicking ass, just wish it was easier on the headphones for me. I'm also loving the effects they're throwing in, it's got a lot of great ambient textures. E #1: Halo Effect is sweet, really loving the strings on this one. What a great touch! It's also more reserved than the earlier tracks E #2: On BU2B now... seriously adoring the strings on this record when they show up. As mentioned before the ambient moments are great. Just keeps getting better & better.

I am a big fan of dubstep when done right: Akira Kiteshi - "Pinball"

I'd like to add House music too: Two of my favorite house tunes right here:

Which epic do you most want revived for CA Tour??
Rush! replied to Alchemical's topic in On The Lighted Stage
The early-mid 70s songs would be cool but I don't think I'd wanna hear a lower-tuned version or anything. Going with JL on this one. -
Totally digging all 3 but I went with Caravan. I really like the direction this record seems to be taking. A sort of throwback, heavier, hard-rock kind of thing. Reminds me of VT a little bit.

A bit too early to tell yet. Although I think CA is off to an incredible start. Just listened to "Headlong Flight" for the first time a few minutes ago. To be performing at this level when you're as old as they are.....pretty fascinating stuff.

Silent Shout is a great record. Don't know anything else by them yet.

Big fan of his 'Heresy' album. Beyond that I haven't heard any of his other work yet. Looking forward to listening to the Melvins collab soon......

I really like the Pet Sounds, Smiley Smile, Sunflower, and Wild Honey records. Not a big fan of Surf's Up however. I thought I would dig it based on the descriptions from some comrades on another site but nope...

Headlong Flight kicks copious amounts of ass. That is all.

In chronological order: 1. Dark Shadows (1966-1971) 2. Seinfeld (1989-1998) 3. The Sopranos (1999-2007) 4. Six Feet Under (2001-2005) 5. MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) (2003-2007)

Huge Melt-Banana fan. Wanna see them live so bad. Cell-Scape and Teeny Shiny are class albums.

Watermelon in Easter Hay Probably going to have this played at my funeral. The most beautiful.

Easily their most raw and unhinged live album. I like the rest of their live albums but the production on most of them are mediocre. Also, it was the 70s...the 70s were all about the 'rawk geetar'. But yeah ATWAS possesses a ferocious fire about it - the songs are played with such adrenaline and energy. I even prefer a couple of the songs live versions over the original studio ones. Easily their best live album, for me.

Regurgitated thread (sorry Goob). I honestly could care less about the whole Hall of Fame thing. I mean there are some good bands in there and there are some completely totally non-rock bands in there as well. It's just some dumb organization to me. I can understand why it pisses people off but really, who gives a crap...at least that's how I think about it. The hardcore Rush fans will always hold them to the highest regard and ultimately the whole thing doesn't matter. Also I definitely am of the viewpoint that Rush is 'above' the Hall of Fame anyway. They've always done things on their own terms, and didn't suck ass for money like so many of the acts in the Hall of Fame. Again I stress that it's no use in getting angry over it because half the bands in the damn thing aren't even considered 'rock and roll' by most people's standards. Edit: I hereby declare that this will be my last post ever regarding the stupid, meaningless, completely inconsequential Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I definitely intensely dislike the band but that's a bit absurd, imo.
