You mean like Stiff Upper Lip, Black Ice and Rock or Bust sounded? :LMAO: Certainly Stiff Upper Lip and to a lesser degree Rock or Bust had mostly fillers and are both quite forgettable.. At the time I thought Black Ice was ok but I was probably getting carried away by the fact that there hadn't been an album in an eternity, and it was cleverly marketed. In hindsight it has one or two highlights and the remainder is padded out with fillers also.

The one before this (Feast Of Consequences is equally as good.) I think all of his solos albums are great except for two or three and one of those was his covers album which was hurried to get out there to raise money. Feast of Consequences is very good. I also particularly like Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors, Sunsets on Empire and 13th Star.

Agreed. It's gorgeous. I have been listening to this quite a lot - it keeps getting better. Each time I get a little something I hadn't picked up before. Most of my favorite albums are exactly like that. Yeah ... it's great when you play something and suddenly you go 'hey! I didn't pick that up before!' It's what good music is all about!

I would agree with this ... I have voted a 7 even though it is in my eyes better than okay ....... as you say, just not quite a great.
