  1. I like but don’t love Priest and the Scorps but I’d put both over nearly every band that’s already been eliminated. And I’d put them over some of the bands that still remain. I’m not saying you should make another thread though. Lets get this one finished first! Who would be in it besides bands in these threads + Priest and Scorpions? If we are talking about Priest and Scorps perhaps it could be an 'Ultimate Metal Band Poll'?? That would dump a bunch of this list. Now who else could we include?? ... Slayer, Megadeth, Savatage, Rammstein ?????? Savatage and Rammstein would get their asses kicked. Nothing against either band but when they’re up against Priest, Megadeth, and that sort, they just won’t get far. I guess there’d be the end result of where they stand on the list which could be interesting I just threw those names out there ..... even seeing who would be on the starting blocks would be interesting!!! Lots of potential choices from old school to the new boys on the block. (When you get to my age any band past 1980 are new boys lol!!!) :codger:

  4. Yeah it may break the record for Hollywood actors and TV personalities. I've lost count. We've had Kirk Douglas, Ian Holm, Max Von Sydow, Brian Dennehy, John Saxon, Stuart Whitman, Robert Conrad, Olivia de Havilland, Wilford Brimley, Reni Santoni (Harry's partner in Dirty Harry), Carl Reiner, Vera Lynn, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Terry Jones, Roy Hudd, Nicholas Parsons, Ennio Morricone, Fred Willard, Jerry Stiller, Jill Gascoine, Richard Herd, Michael Angelis, Tony Scannell, Lyle Waggoner, Shirley Knight, Derek Fowlds, Jack Kehoe, Christopher Beeny, Regis Philbin, Kelly Preston, James Lipton. And then music stars, Neil Peart, Little Richard, Lyle Mays, Peter Green, Bob Kulick, Brian Howe, Kenny Rogers, Steve Priest, Bill Withers, Paul "Tonka" Chapman, Pete Way, McCoy Tyner, and there's probably a lot more I forgot. Just looking at your list makes it seem even worse! A respite for a few months would be nice!
  5. Holidays In The Sun is not even close to being the best Pistols song but Holidays In Cambodia is probably the best DK song .... so I vote DK.
  6. Yeah ... I agree with blueschica ..... Worst album might be fun.
  7. By the nature of the poll they are all good bands but something's gotta give!! Starting to get interesting now! Thoughts of voting have pushed this song into my head ....
  8. I must dig it out ..... it's been a long time since I last bothered to listen to it i'm afraid.
  9. I remember when CD's were emerging technology, there were all these fanfares about how durable they were, they wouldn't scratch, you could just wipe them clean blah blah blah .... what a crock! Just like vinyl, you scratch them and they're toast! My CD's and DVDs now just look pretty on shelves in my den ...... I play everything digitally now. The missus however still insists on buying DVD's .... donno why, we're running out of shelf room!!
  10. A fine actor who seemed to die very unexpectedly. This is proving to be a very dark year. RIP Ben Cross.
  11. guess you chose "on your knees" ;) and submission! This could be the metal album of the century. I am trying to manage my expectations.
  12. Good poll! I like both albums and bought both on week of release. Whilst I enjoy pretty much everything on Hi Infidelity, my vote just goes to Escape for being a more 'rocky' album. BTW, we have had the opportunity to see both bands live many times in both the UK and US and I must say REO always put on a great show. As for Journey, I just struggle with Arnel Pineda. They toured the UK for the brief period of time Jeff Scott Soto was lead singer and we got to see them in Manchester in 2007. I thought he added a new dimension to the sound but I guess he had too much ego for Neal 'I'm the boss and don't you forget it' Schon to handle!!
  13. Please accept my condolences PJ and apologies for the tardiness of my post.
