5 Pete Way death -
It`s the hospitals, rather than the transmission for you, I think? So in principle this lockdown should see you most of the way through to vaccine day, whenever that is, in decent health. Let`s hope so. I doubt if the Prem will stop again, like in March. If the R got to 3 or something, maybe - or an entire team being wiped out. Newcastle have had issues but nobody seemed to consider a fixture postponement, just "you`ve got a big squad, crack on". On the upside, all January games will be on TV so I`ll probably have another stressful evening where I`ve got a game on my TV, one on my phone, and one on the laptop. Luckily, this fits my ADHD perfectly :dweez: Yes, our hospitals are at the stage were ambulances are waiting with patients onboard for hours before the hospitals can accept them. However compliance to the restrictions seems to be getting worse as people are fed up with things so I am not convinced how effective it will be. One thing is for sure - I am glad I do not work in the hospitality industry - they are being hamstrung! Well, I was made redundant from my job of the last decade in October (Age UK, charity) so I have probably less sympathy than you! :boohoo: Sorry to hear that IbanezJem.

All domestic sport here including soccer will be locked down from 26th December for 6 weeks. Fingers crossed it doesn't escalate to the rest of the UK.

Rank the Paul McCartney solo albums, or just name your top 5
zepphead replied to treeduck's topic in Music Of The Spheres
I predict you'll go out next week and when you return home you'll seem to come out of a trance, and as you sit in your armchair you'll notice every single Paul McCartney album laid out on display... He`ll have to be quick... NI is soon to be in full lockdown again! Well he can always dial up amazon. Maybe Santa will bring 'em before lockdown kicks in! -

Band On The Run and Venus & Mars are pretty much the only ones of his non-Beatles stuff that I have bothered with. -
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

My missus is a big fan! We have seen them a bunch of times and they always sound heavier live than they do particularly on their later studio albums. Their last few albums haven't been all that good. Yeah ..... kinda rock by numbers stuff. But some of their older albums are great! I like everything through the 80's. I think there might be one in the early 90's that was ok too. Crazy World from 1990 is pretty good. Yeah that's the one I mean. I have a bunch of those albums. I got the remasters from a few years ago as well, plus I already had the previous versions on CD. I've got Scorpions all over the place! I've not listened to them for a while though. I remember seeing them in the Manchester Apollo in July 2007.Michael Schenker's MSG was the support group. Should have been great ... but Schenker was blind drunk. Couldn't string two notes together ..... They were booed off mid set. So disappointing. Scorpions however were superb. They played a slightly longer set to make up for the MSG fiasco. Uli Jon Roth was with them for part of the show. A super performance, and I met Uli Jon as well!! Memorable. Schenker's been like that for a while now. It's probably why his career has been so mediocre since about 1983. He seemed to be in a pretty bad way the whole of the 2007 tour. I think perhaps his lowest time. As one of my guitar heroes I really didn't want that to be our last memories of himSo when we heard he was on the bill at the High Voltage festival 2011 (which we had tickets for) I was kinda filled with a mixture of anticipation and dread! Fortunately he seemed to have cleaned his life up and gave us a great set (albeit assisted by a host of guests inc. Rudy Schenker, Herman Rarebell, Pete Way, Doogie White and Jeff Scott Soto). His playing was great that day, and that is the last time I have seen him live .... and it will probably remain that way as a fitting way for me to remember his talent.

It is a raging topic here ..... Between England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland there could be 4 separate sets of rules. Our last set of rules kicked in at end of September so I haven't seen my mum now for 13 weeks .... I really would like to see her for Christmas! We hope to see her on Boxing day at my brother's house (providing the rule of 3 families over the 5 day Christmas period still stands).
