RIP Dikembe Mutumbo, 58, dies from brain cancer
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 replied to laughedatbytime's topic in One Little Victory
I may have been a little biased there -- I was able to watch Mutumbo but Russell and Chamberlain were before my time so all I've seen of them were a few highlights. -

RIP to probably the best shot blocker ever. His timing was just silly. -
What song is this? I'd like to hear the whole thing.
-
A very clever re-imagining.
-
I think you start hearing it at 3:40, and it's in and out for the rest of the solo. I've always wondered if they were repeating lyrics, like maybe "Reaching for the alien shore," etc. but I never really knew for sure.

New thread, using the September posts from last season's thread to start us off.

We've been an active music community for 20 years now, but you're the first to post a nude selfie profile pic. I'm generally not opposed to such content, but I'm just not sure if this is the place for it. For now I'm going to remove the photo as I don't think it's a direction I want to see this board go into, even if it's in the nudism sphere (as opposed to porn).

Looking for Alex Lifeson Promise Music Video in HD
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 replied to TheGhostRider's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Yeah, the quality of that upload is very poor -- it was most likely from a fan importing from a low quality VHS tape. That video was shot in either standard definition video or on film. A better copy of it exists somewhere, but we may never see it unless Alex digs it out of the vault and has it remastered. -
Top 10 for me, which could mean they're in my top 5. Haven't thought to rank my favorite bands' album covers, but that'd be an interesting thing to try and rank.

The juxtaposition here is worth noting. I say this knowing that my Giants are destined to go 0-16 this year.

We had two 2024 NFL threads, so I merged them. You're welcome.

"People will come, Ray." I can't imagine anyone else doing this speech. RIP to one of the greats.

This is an amazing breakdown of that song. RIP Sergio.

Happy 14th to our postah from Bahston! -
Happy birthday Goose!

I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy livin', or get busy dyin'.

8. Happy I got to see? Stevie Ray Vaughan You are indeed lucky. Of all the guitarists I never got to see, he'd be at the top of my list.

Yes I do, and so can you! Just go to the website for O'Reilly Auto Parts and do a search for 121g. https://www.oreillyauto.com

1. First Concert? Van Halen, Women and Children First tour 1980. 2. Last Concert? Porcupine Tree in 2022. 3. Worst Concert? Smashing Pumpkins in 2016. It was billed as an SP show but it was just Billy Corgan doing acoustic versions of their songs, which we didn't know going in. 4. Loudest Concert? Porcupine Tree with Kings X, The Incident tour 2009. The loudest, but it sounded spectacular. 5. Best Concert? King Crimson, Discipline tour 1982. 6. Seen the Most? You'll never guess... 7. Most Surprising? TWRP, a goofy band with goofy costumes, but with serious musicianship. 8. Happy I got to see? Rush, Moving Pictures tour. 9. Wish I could have seen? The original Kansas lineup. 10. Next Concert? Either Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd.
