  1. Sure they do. "List your top 30 artists" on TRF = "Top 75 artists with a 50 way tie at the #75 spot"...even though they'd put a disclaimer that the artists are in no particular order :P
  2. Watch out! I've had similar. Someone around me from a blind spot, out of control, cutting in front.Good to hear you're ok. Those damn snowboarders ;) . No matter how careful you can be, there's always that chance. Take care on the slopes all the same dude. Forget snowboards!! ..... It's 'panic in the supermarkets' time!!! .... I was almost flattened by a granny with a turbo charged shopping trolley this morning .... worst of it was, I swear she had an evil glint in her eye (the good one lol!!) Don't get me started Zepp. It's when peeps are looking at a bargain mesmerised. YET continue to walk in another direction. Sometimes into my path with a trolley! I watch in disbelief, taking it all in.... :D . It’s Mad Max Road Warrior shit in the produce section! Two men enter, one man leave!!!! http://media1.fdncms.com/riverfronttimes/imager/u/slideshow/2569020/idiotarod_14.jpg Animals! It’s just cabbage for f**k’s sake! :P

  4. It's definitely a better soundtrack song that that boring and way too long Bob Dylan cover for a boring Tom Cruise movie about car racing. Guns N’ Roses f***ed up their Dylan cover, not Dylan himself. Imho, that’s the worst cover of all time by a widely popular band of a well known song.
  5. Critics love that show to be honest. Look at it's Rotten Tomatoes rating. It's still trash, though. With its goofy stereotypes, predictable plotlines, and over the top anti-PC content, Kobra Kai is irresistibly endearing trash tv. critics are dumb. end of story  Really? I mean they hated Rush in 70s.......80s.........90s..........how dumb were they then? <end sarcasm> RS hated Zeppelin at first. I remember Scott Stapp using that as a response to the bad reviews Creed got. As for Creed, their early songs are tolerable not as bad as Nickelback and Trapt and I'll leave it at that. Besides you, I’ve never heard anyone whether here or in the real world mention Trapt. Just sayin’
  6. Interesting. Seems like something that small might make it's way through a standard cloth mask, but I'm no scientist. At my physical recently, I asked my doctor about the efficacy of masks. I was wearing a cloth one, he was wearing a more "diesel" one. He said that the one I was wearing does nothing. Which raises the question of why require that people wear a face covering if so many people are wearing something that is not effective. Science!!!* New research on the limited effectiveness of masks alone... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/12/201222132057.htm Wearing a mask may not be enough to prevent the spread of COVID-19 without social distancing. Researchers tested how different types of mask impacted the spread of droplets that carry the coronavirus when we cough or sneeze. Every material tested dramatically reduced the number of droplets that were spread. But at distances of less than 6 feet, enough droplets to potentially cause illness still made it through several of the materials. Yesterday, for the first time, I saw a list of COVID recommendations in a public place that had distancing listed first. That was encouraging. I think people would less likely follow distancing rules than mask wearing rules. OR there’d be a miscalculation of distance (4 feet vs 6 feet vs 9 feet or whatever) which would lead some going “Tom Cruise” on others :P
  7. So the eldest Blaze bro (Mikey) did indeed say that he wouldn’t be holding a Christmas party for obvious reasons, mainly based on the risk involved with mom & dad. But apparently, the aforementioned SIL is worried about our parents’ mental health and not being able to experience a family gathering having already skipped Thanksgiving. Sooooo, she invited mom & dad and every immediate Blaze to her place for a smaller gathering, likely around 10-12 people. Some don’t want to go, others are unsure what to do, and Mikey is upset for various reasons which I touched on before. Mikey’s wife, a frontline nurse, got the vaccine last week and even she doesn’t want to go to the party. She has to work that day anyway so it’s a non-decision...BUT she said if she didn’t have to work, she still wouldn’t go.
  8. I don’t necessarily disagree with that but can you list 9 out of 10 times when people should’ve minded their own business? Sure, although I used 9 out of 10 to connote 90% of the time (which is actually on the low side). When person 1 tells person 2 what they should be doing, when it isn't truly affecting person 1, they should instead mind their own business. I told this story somewhere else. I was standing in line, outdoors, at least 6 feet away from any other human being, ironically enough, minding my own business. The gentleman in front of me took it upon himself to tell me I wasn't wearing a mask, and that I couldn't get in the store we were line up for without one. I told him I knew both of those things. Gotcha. Yeah, I’ve seen that. Would you rather have it like it is out here where 9 out of 10 times, nobody reports anything when they should OR they hope someone else helps the person who’s truly in need BUT nobody ends up with any kind of assist? Best would be a middle ground of course but yeah that’s life eh. The question is what is being reported? An actual crime? Or a gathering of 11 people with no connection to you? Crime. Accidents. Domestic violence. All sorts of stuff. I was at the train station a while back and heard a commotion. I looked down from an elevated walkway and saw someone had fallen onto the tracks. EVERYONE was just looking at the person lying there. Some took out their phones to take photos of him. Then luckily, two train station staff came running out to hoist the guy off the tracks. But no commuter had the sense to help that guy out?!...No, they didn’t. They minded their business...other than some pulling their phones out to take pics of the man sprawled out on the tracks during a very busy time in the morning.

  12. Cool. I enjoyed the Ron Howard doc a few years ago too.
  13. How is this what Rush is best known for? Non-Rush fans wouldn’t even know Rush did a cover of that.
  14. Didn’t know that. But now that you’ve said it, I hear Neil Diamond in it
  15. “The first to lose to the Jets”? Well, there’s only one first. So anyone who’s team is also The Lambs can say “yes”
  16. Bigger than Shining Star and September? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW0sxgYAmLM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-EF60neguk I'd mention Manic Monday and Hazy Shade Of Winter which were big hits in their own right but they peaked at number 2. The number ones by Bangles were Walk Like An Egyptian and Eternal Flame. Ironically, the song that kept Manic Monday out was by the purple clad Minnesotan who wrote it with Kiss. The way that’s written makes it look like Prince wrote “Manic Monday” with Gene and Paul.
  17. One of the biggest gaps in quality from original to cover of a highly-known song. Nails on a chalk board with Axl’s screechy crap.
  18. That’s a helluva bright side! :blaze: I knew some of you TRFers would deliver! :hail:
  19. But the amount of radio overplay Rock and Roll, Stairway, Going To California and Levee have gotten is completely ok? Not everyone's radio stations play those songs a lot Yes they do. All radio stations follow the same format. Really? I've never heard Going To California or When The Levee Breaks on the radio They're played as much as anything from Zeppelin. I live close to the Canadian border and even the radio stations we can pick up from there played the hell out of those songs. Regardless, it's a silly rationale for elimination, considering that Come Together is played ad nauseum, as are any number of songs from the remaining albums. Couldn’t agree more. (X) is an awesome song, perfect really. But it’s played too often on the radio so it’s got to be booted. Uh huh.
  20. Some fool texting while riding his bicycle. I was thinking “This guy will probably have an accident soon.” Less than 10 seconds later he crashed into a mountain of garbage that was piled up outside of an apartment building. Sprawled out and everything yet not hurt. Fun! I made sure he knew somebody saw him by asking if he were okay. This isn’t even the first time I’ve seen that type of thing happen. Bonus: The garbage truck pulled up right after that guy got on his bike and rode embarrassingly away.
  21. David Bowie asked Norman Rockwell to design the cover to Young Americans. Rockwell said he needed six months but Bowie didn’t want to wait so we got the album cover that we did.
