Geddy Lee won't rule out future Rush shows with Alex Lifeson!!
Lurkst replied to skullchrist's topic in Rush
It's worth listening to the Rolling Stone interview just to hear Geddy's Macca impersonation (actually it's worth listening to it full stop, really good chat with Brian Hiatt - a rare RS Rush fanboy ) Interesting that McCartney said he'd never met anyone from Rush, because I remember reading in Ghost Rider that Neil attended one of his album launches in New York. No surprise that Neil didn't want to meet anyone mind you. -
Six page article in the latest edition... https://www.mojo4music.com/articles/stories/rushs-geddy-lee-interviewed/ A pity they never featured Rush during the band's actual career though.

Post here when your My Effin Life book arrives and what you think after reading!

Neil's books would probably have benefited from having a co-writer / editor like Daniel Richler, or Geddy himself with Neil's lyrics. -
My cousin calls him Canada's greatest living interviewer. He certainly asked some probing questions in the most polite way. Well worth a watch indeed.

Listening to the speed of some live recordings from the Signals era they certainly sounded totally wired! -
Looks excellent Did any music feature at all?

A great watch thanks.

It was a total surprise. Geddy even said it into the microphone. I'm guessing the book will go into more detail, but Ged seems to be alluding to the atmosphere in the camp not being that great towards the end of the R40 tour (which was insinuated on here at the time). Neil was in his happy place, others less so.

Too good to be true

Agreed, heard it in the car a couple of times today and it's very well produced. While lacking a bit in FABness, it's certainly emotive. If in the 1960s you were asked to predict what the 80 something Beatles would sound like, this might be the answer.

I'm impressed by the technological effort to put it together more than by the song. I think it will be a poignant album closer on the new version of the Blue album though.

There have been some excellent episodes of the S4N podcast, and this is another. Actually found it quite eerie, he sounds so like his brother. I'd only ever heard of Danny mentioned in Neil's writings, but he seems like another very intelligent member of the Peart family. Starts around 11:45 in... https://somethingfornothing.podbean.com/e/ep-176-danny-peart/

Had Paramount+ in our holiday Airbnb. Means I need to go back to Budapest but this might be worth it
