  1. Anyone know if Rush has played private functions?
  2. Lets say a person has a large amount of money to hire Rush to play a private show... Besides contacting their management, do you think they would do it?
  3. My son took it well. He was happier that we saw R40! We can see him (Steve Miller) next summer... he does Wolf Trap every year. I was more bummed about losing out on the experience than burning $500. It's only money.
  4. JFC!!! I had 3 tickets in the 3rd row to see Steve Miller last night... Son has been wanting to see him since he was 10. We all thought it was tonight. Just shoot me now.
  5. Call me a 'fanboy' or a 'fanatical'... after having seen them literally countless times since 1976 I am always in such bliss seeing them live that warts and all, they are just plain A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
  6. As long as you don't have lawn seats, no worries. If you do, just enjoy the warm shower... bring a towel!
  7. Surely, you're kidding about "tuning problems".
  8. Well... shit happens. But the guitar tech probably ended up with a sore ass later on.
  9. Sorry, but I wont be one to hold my phone up all night this Saturday to capture a periscope session. But I'm kind of selfish like that when it comes to a Rush show.
  10. I've been smoking weed for over 40 years and I can attest that it does not affect memory.
  11. Hotlanta tonight, then Greensboro, then HERE!!!
  12. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to hang out and get stoned with those guys.
  13. Bard is convinced they wont add another leg... I'm convinced they will. Like I said, we'll see. :)
  14. I never got an answer from the Jiffy Lube Live amphitheater in Barstow, VA. Anyone here?
  15. Well Phil Mickelson is still playing the PGA tour, and tendonitis heals with rest., or in the extreme...surgery. In my over half century on this rock, there's one thing I've learned... NEVER say never. But it is a given... DO NOT MISS R40!
  16. I knew about the psoriatic arthritis... but I must have misinterpreted what others have been saying as he was injured.
  17. I don't know where this "Alex is hurt" stuff is coming from. This s what he said about their future... " I have such mixed feelings about it. In one way, I feel relief. I think that 40 years is a long time to be touring the way we tour. I really like being home with my grandkids. At 61, I don't feel there's anything we need to prove.... Well, we're not finished as a band. We still talk about recording. Who knows, there may be an opportunity in the future to do not a big tour, but a series of concerts ... like a week in Massey Hall or Radio City Music Hall. Ged and I are just itching to get back into writing. He just revamped his studio, and he's not a tech kind of studio guy. He doesn't know how probably even one per cent of that stuff works. But he's had this renaissance of being a musician and wanting to play and study more — it's really inspiring to see. When things slow down we'll start to do some writing, for whatever purpose. We've always talked about doing some soundtrack work. " So take it anyway you want... sounds like a 'we'll see'.
  18. I gave up trying to keep it 'unspoiled' but as others have pointed out ad nauseum, it's impossible unless one stays away from all social media. But thats cool... now that I know the setlist, I'm even MORE excited!! WOOOO HOOOO!!! Come on May 30!!
  19. Going with R41 most likely.
