  1. Exciting stuff! Always a treat to see Tool live. I'm hoping for a date closer to home
  2. This is so cool! Probably right in my financial wheelhouse too
  3. How many times has he actually been wrong? I'm only aware of the Jacob's Ladder mistake people like to bring up. I can't think of many times he's been wrong about things, but he did say they would bring his double neck out for the CA tour
  4. The harmonies shocked the hell out of me, especially when they continued doing in during the second verse
  5. Wow! You think "they'll stop someday"?!?!?!?!? That's quite the bold statement!
  6. Victor Wooten is one of the 3 most influential musicians to ever pick up the instrument. I love Geddy but he doesn't belong on the Mount Rushmore of Bass Players. He'd be on the 2nd group of four though. The first four have to be Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, Victor Wooten and Jaco. Then I'd go with Geddy(just barely over Chris Squire) Stanley Clarke, Steve Harris and John Entwistle. Surely you realize that these two tiers that you've constructed are insanely subjective. Everyone on the second tier has had as much influence as anyone on the first tier
  7. Hemispheres is my favorite of all time. Also love his work on Xanadu, The Big Money, Cinderelle Man, Emotion Detector, Turn the Page, and Natural Science
  8. This is happening this year right?
  9. Just the way he sings the lyric, "to taste my bitter triumph" puts that one right up there. :) But yes, he is amazing in so many songs. See if you can find on Youtube (if you don't already have the bootleg) Geddy singing Xanadu from Cygnus Gold (11/20/78). His voice is in top shape. Thanks! I'll check it out!
  10. I can't narrow it down to just one: Hemispheres Xanadu (ESCAPE these caves OF ICE!) Resist The Fountain of Lamneth
  11. Once again...let's give it a shot (not necessarily in order): 1. Xanadu 2. Hemispheres 3. Natural Science 4. 2112 5. Time Stand Still 6. War Paint 7. Cinderella Man 8. Emotion Detector 9. The Fountain of Lamneth 10. Lock and Key
  12. :smoke: The Big Money, The Body Electric, Territories, Middletown Dreams :smoke:
  13. Interesting read. I guess I'm not surprised that he completely glossed over the most interesting part of their career
  14. Crotales sort of just sound like a mini crash cymbal. I'm having a hard time thinking of a lot of uses in Rush songs, but I know they get a fair amount of use in Anagram
  15. Love the name! That stage is super fun :smoke:
  16. Seriously, what's the deal? We're all dedicated fans here. The least Geddy could do is send us all a couple f***ing t shirts. Right??
  17. God forbid anyone actually reads anything..... He did??! I knew I didn't like God, and I was wondering why I've been having so much trouble reading lately
  18. Three cool looking mother f***ers
  19. I've actually noticed a bit of the opposite. The CA songs didn't sound super awesome this time around, but I was thoroughly impressed with how he hit the high notes in Hemispheres (even down tuned it's still hard to sing) and he absolutely KILLED Lakeside Park
  20. I seriously doubt it. They know their own skill levels better than we ever could
