  1. took a screenshot of the five most recent threads...cannot post it cuz it's not online, but if you look now, I think it's still five of these neil threads in order of increasing senselessness. Good show.
  2. I've never heard anyone call Neil a racist, until this thread. I don't think this is a real issue.
  3. Neil Peart Geddy Lee Alex Lifeson I figure putting the greatest bassist and drummer in the world together could yield some epic results, plus Lifeson is a very underrated guitarist, and I hear he went to school with Lee when they were kids. Now I know that really only leaves Lee to sing, and his vocals can be controversial, but I think with the inevitable intensity of the bass and drums together, his voice might just fit in. No clue who might play keys if they ever decide to branch out though, but who needs synths anyway? As for a name...it'll have to be something really intense to match the bass and drums...maybe Blitz? idk... Oh, I forgot, that wasn't a supergroup. :P ;)
  4. I'd see 'em, but then again I'd see most anyone. I've only been to two real concerts.
  5. I usually get socks for Christmas, only buy more when I need more black or more low socks. Works for me.
  6. Lol, to be fair though, I love: Imagine Dragons, My Chemical Romance I can like: Maroon 5, 21 Pilots, Fall Out Boy I've never heard of: Failsafe Failsafe is a great Alt Rock band. Will look into ty

  8. Muse: Time Is Running Out Reapers Exogenesis New Born Madness
  9. What are some of the greatest bands of the 2000s in your opinion? You can decide for yourself what constitutes a 2000s band, I won't be picky. Muse Radiohead Foo Fighters Weezer Coldplay Death Cab For Cutie Florence And The Machine Mumford And Sons ...just naming a few Oh look, I picked a bunch of "90s" bands, see? :P
  10. Biggest takeaway was that Peart once included one of my favorite places on his motorcycle trips, yay!
  11. Roll The Bones, no question. Everything else gives a better listening experience, RTB is pretty sucky.
  12. Like it, but I can see how it might've seemed out of place on the album.
  13. that's cool dude. i love AOR. i just love it's melodic sense......but i totally get it's not for everybody, lol Mick AOR melodies are infectious. "You make me fee-EE-eel... Like I wanna di-ie Just when... You said we'd try-y-y Lovin', TOUCHin', squee-eezin' Each o-othe-er" One of the best. :)
  14. Incredible singer, just perfect for that format.
  15. But I like The Foos and Green Day. :( Exactly. Exactly, my friend. What do you mean by that?
  16. Station To Station could easily be replaced with Boston.
  17. Because Radiohead is post-Nirvana and still releasing great albums and touring, meaning they've not been relegated to a dinosoar act only to be played on classics stations or by those who are in the know about older music, which removes them from any age and outdated stigmas even though they are pretty old. Also they're extremely experimental and innovative, and have only been more so since OKC, actually pushing the boundaries of popular music more consistently and more notably than any band since The Beatles. They've been a humongous influence on modern music as well, and pretty much everyone who likes music and is interested in modern pop and rock has delved into Radiohead. This all makes them a prime candidate for the artist to top the list. Then it comes down to which of their many landmark releases is their best, which isn't really possible to determine since everything since OKC and after has been completely different. However, OKC is seen as the moment where they went from being just another 90s alt rock band, albeit very good (The Bends) and innovative. Plus, after OKC they did Kid A, which is far less accessible and almost not at all a rock album. OKC and Kid A are also often considered their most innovative and groundbreaking works, which pretty much puts the result between those two. Seeing as OKC is more accessible and actually sees the band still playing rock and roll, it's not hard to pick that one over Kid A. Of course, it's just some people's opinions. In my opinion A Night At The Opera is the greatest album of all time and nothing short of an act of God is going to change that.
  18. Rush - 2112 Queen - A Day At The Races David Bowie - Station To Station Lots of great releases this year.
  19. Burn is epic on Guitar Hero though....but I still vote Gillan for JCS.
  20. Well, based on his astonishing performance on Jesus Christ Superstar, plus Made In Japan, Ian Gillan is a monster vocalist to my ears. Cloverdale's never particularly impressed me in Whitesnake.
