  1. My sinuses clears out too. After a good sneeze it's like I can breathe much better.
  2. I love sneezing. The more violent the better. Unless I have my allergies. Then I hate it. Edit: Remembered when I was younger I got the marvellous idea of putting a peppercorn up my nose. I had the sneezing of a life time
  3. http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/troll2a.jpg The worst movie ever made. A lot better but it takes a while getting used to a movie with only two men talking.
  4. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/whitechicks/assets/images/onesheet.jpg I was trying to fall asleep.

  8. Eating oatmeal listening to Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears, and waiting for today's stage of Tour de France to begin.
  9. My sister and niece came to visit me yesterday and I probably had the best day I've ever had with them. We went to the marina for ice cream and sat a boat cafe for some cold refreshments, looking out at the bay in the sun. http://aarhusupdate.dk/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Fuld-hus-hos-B%C3%A5dcaf%C3%A9-i-Aarhus_.jpg After that we went to the Aros arts museum which turned out to be a very engaging experience for my four year old niece. She really took it all in. She's in the process of learning to rely on other than her mother, so after a few hours she wanted me to carry her around, which of course melts my heart. Some of the installations scared her because they were in dark rooms (she's a bit scared of the dark and has some troubling dreams), but still she would curiously agree when I proposed that I would carry her, and we'd leave the room if she wanted. So in a safe setting she seems willing to challenge herself. You can tell I'm proud of her, can't you? ;)
  10. Maybe I can try and navigate it back? How important is the flag generally in the US? My assumption is that most everybody will lose their mind over it, if someone either tries to burn it, stomp it or just speak badly about. But is that really the case? I know it's the picture a lot of people in Europe likely has, but here we're in the progress of equating flags with fascism, so there's that.
  11. Sorry to all southerners but I couldn't help reading this in the voice of a redneck.
  12. I love America, but I am not blindly patriotic. I hear you. Related... I've met and known a lot of expats abroad that DO think most of (if not ALL) Americans ARE blindly patriotic though. A Welsh co-worker of mine I used to work with once condescendingly commented, "Why do you guys always carry around the American flag and wear t-shirts that say 'Love it or leave it' with your flag on it?" Our Canadian co-worker agreed with her. I've never known anyone to "carry around" an American flag. And the only time I've seen someone wear a t-shirt that the Welsh chick was talking about was on some pro-wrestling tv show. The irony is that the Welsh and Canadian co-workers of mine had flags of their respective nations on their daily used backpacks and regularly worn clothing. Nobody ever commented on that (and nobody should) but IF I did those same things with the American flag, I surely would've received criticism. Hell, I received criticism even when I've NEVER done it. So you're saying that the generic image of the american we've been spoonfed abroad isn't true?!
  13. I say that if a flag touching the ground can get you bend completely out of shape, you probably have bigger issues you need to tend to first. I understand it's a symbol that means a lot to many people, but in this case where I think it should be obvious that there was no intentional malpractice, those horrified should be able to calm down again. Why the flag couldn't be used again I don't understand. Where I come from we hardly ever flag anymore which I find saddening.
  14. Tour de France and about to cook some duck breast thai style.
  15. If a woman asks me if her ass looks fat in her pants, I lie ... There are innocent lies and the lies that really destroys. http://youtu.be/jCLizTg9nWo
  16. I was such a fan when I was a kid, and now their music to me has a naive and sentimental value.
  17. Working on Dependency Injection in an MVC application. Well, trying to.
  18. I say Angus because I know most of his riffs whereas I hardly know anyone from Keith. But neither of them are a guitar hero of mine.

  21. Yeah that's some sneaky crap. There's no tipping whatsoever in this country so no worries in that regard here. I liked Canada's restaurant system where the card never leaves your sight, and the wireless machine is brought to you. Cuts down on multiple types of fraud/theft. I think the US should adopt such a system. You give your card to so many people on a weekly basis, and all they have to do is snap two pictures if they want to make illegitimate charges.. That's the way we do it in Denmark too. I listen a lot to Bill Burr's podcast (I highly recommend it) and I know he's not giving away his information. Like if they want to put his data into their system he'll come up with something fake. If they wan't to see some I.D he doesn't hand it over to them, but let's them look at it while he holds it. Many times, he says, they wan't to type in all sort of information about you. I think people have become gotten so used to just give away data about themselves it's ridiculous.
  22. It's common in restaurants in Denmark, when the waiter or waitress comes over with the little machine that takes your card, that the little ATM machine will ask if you want to add a tip. I always press no. Who knows if the employees ever get to see those money, or if it lands in someone else's pocket? I like the places that has a little jar at the counter, and would rather leave a tip in places like that. One other thing is that in Denmark nobody ever tips. I think tourists are the only one.
