  1. HYF? HYF had 1 song in the set list. RTB had 2 or 3 depending on the night. I agree with Powerindows, but I still feel Marathon will be the lone song on this setlist since it wasn't played. The Big Money gets honorable mention as a selection. Personally, I think each album gets at least one selection for this setlist with some being included in a medley. Test for Echo? ...not sure what song it would be
  2. There's a Tour? Sorry, just playing along with everyone else's confusing answers. The answer may be yes- They could always release a song
  3. Its not about whining, More about frustration. Walks like a duck... It sure comes across pretty whiny. If, as adults, we can't just be patient and out-wait the system, then we should be charged an exorbitant price. A demand for immediate gratification.has always been expensive. I could care less what the tickets cost. I can deal with that. I just want to know all of the details and where I am sitting. No doubt about that! The "First ten Rows" thing is crap, I think. Huge difference between row ten and row one. Like, literally nine rows of difference. Nine Rows of Difference will make a great album title
  4. You can't be serious. Were you truly expecting songs like Grand Designs, Territories, Manhattan Project or Where's My Thing on the last tour? Shocking and not expecting are 2 completely different things. I'll EXPECT 'New World Man', I'll be shocked by 'Xanadu'...
  5. This is a very difficult topic. While none of us WANT to see them call it quits, we also want the Rush experience. That being said the only drawback we have seen is slightly on Geddy's voice. This does not mean physically that Al and Neil are not struggling more than 20 years ago. We want the band as we remember them in their prime. And the last 2 tours were spot on. This is it, in one manner or another. But I think new records, and tours of this magnitude are over. CA was Neil's last gasp at storytelling. Like it or not. I am expecting ALL the hits on this tour. If opening night in Tulsa gives us the 10 Staples of Rush. Then this is it! Let's be honest, no one wants to see Rush in a 1800 seat theater at Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport with 20% the amps and lights they used to have. Rush would fade away before ever doing that.
  6. Music in general is headed to how Casinos book Music. Casinos promise the artist a fee- Styx is a huge Casino touring band- was getting $18,000 per show. Band paid for NO marketing, no ticket sales, no rentals, nothing. $18K per show. Over 50 dates, 6 bandmates, thats a good living for a musician. Lots of older artists are doing this. So that being said, I am happy Rush never 'had to tour' to pay bills. None of us want to see them in a theater with sound/lighting restrictions.
  7. The Black Crowes are one of the best live experiences I've ever had. I them open for Petty and they were amazing. Agree. Saw the Black Crowes open for ZZ Top, circa—90-91?? Ish....awesome...
  8. Saw Kiss and Def Lep last year. It was good, but I don't have the passion with any band like Rush. So honestly with the crappy music that has been produced in the last 20 years, I will be done too. I mean look if I am AT a casino and Styx is playing, I would go, but I would not actively pursue tickets to ANY other band. Fun Fact: I sort of want to see the Filipino Steve Perry fronting Journey just to be amazed
  9. That Exit Stage Left shirt is the bomb
  10. Over/Under in Vegas on when Eddie Trunk references UFO is currently at the 9 minute mark.
  11. Its not about whining, More about frustration. Yes I agree. There are a lot of people that have been long time fans that can't afford the tickets this time. Especially if it's going to be their last decent sized tour. I can understand thinking this, but sometimes it's better to just keep quiet. People just need to vent their frustration and this may be the only outlet they have with people that would understand. I understand, But for me its not the cost so much. Just where I am sitting and not having to go through this crap. People can decide what they want to pay or not. Just give me a choice and be done with it. I intentionally went after New Orleans tickets despite living in Florida- With only 1 show in Florida I knew every person would be trying for Tampa, boy was I correct. Tampa went rocket ship fast-ALL presales- New Orleans had plenty of tix for every presale- Got 3rd row off floor Ged's side. Very happy. But I understand the frustration.
  12. Brian Williams of NBC reporting that Neil Peart's books are being burned at this moment in 1943 Germany.
  13. It will be on this tour: 100% chance. ALL the hits make it, just in case this is it!!
  14. I think this is a Hits Tour: So we are going to hear most if not ALL the hits: Songs I think they'll definitely play: Tom Sawyer Freewill Spirit of Radio Closer to the Heart (Ugh, I agree) 2112 (In some form) Limelight Good chance They will play New World Man (Please god no) Red Barchetta Subdivisions Working Man In the Sirius interview with Neil, he said that they're going to play a lot of the songs that "reached the audience". In other words, fan favorites. Diehard fan favorites. Xanadu and Natural Science *crosses fingers* I'd say yes and yes there. Xanadu is almost a given at this point, and Natural Science is well within Ged's range, not to mention a crowd favorite. Xanadu has not been played since 2004- I think it's in The Trees- 2008- I think it's in Bastille Day- Last Played 1980!!!! < Is this correct?? Please play it
  15. The only way would be an acoustic version. Like I said, Post drum solo, Put Ged and Alex on stools - 1 spotlight Different Strings, Tears, Losing It. Easy on Ged's voice...10 minute rest for Neil That being said- IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN
  16. Don't bother. Anyone that would leave Xanadu out isn't worth reading. :poke: I heard they'll only be playing Xanadu in Lincoln. Good. I'll have the whole place to myself. It'll just be me and Rush. They'll have no trouble drawing there. Those Lincoln fans are going nuts in the R40 Tour Meetup section: Total Posts: ZERO
  17. Have the corn farmers bought all the tickets yet?
  18. Like the Cavs are making the finals- HA! This argument holds little weight- In May Rush is playing Dalllas, Houston and New Orleans all capable of still playing Basketball at that time. And if Toronto makes the finals they will come very close to the 2 Rush dates in Mid-June. And people of Cleveland: Stop your whining! Hop in your car and drive to Columbus. Want to get upset? Ask Memphis- The REAL HOME OF ROCK AND ROLL! Rush has not played there since 1992. That's right 1992. 'Roll the Bones' Tour- I had to Move because Rush was never coming back. I guess Ray Danniels had some bad BBQ. Elvis would roll over in his grave if he was really dead. Thanks for feeling my pain...I live in Memphis and Katy Perry, Usher crap come but not RUSH. I have to drive to St Louis this time! Glenn saw Rush often at the old MSC. How have they never played the Pyramid or FedEx Forum? Do ANY rock shows come to town? I'm sort of out of the Memphis loop living in Fla.
  19. Floor gone and Lower Bowl mostly gone for New Orleans. Lots of upper deck seats left. If you can't find seats anywhere else, The New Orleans show is the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. I'll be the one with the lampshade on.
  20. Just please NO- New World Man. Predicting: Tom Sawyer will be the final song. Just have a feeling, a Hits encore is the plan.
  21. The Lincoln and Tulsa dates are surprising. Neil must really want to bike thru the corn in Iowa to get to St. Paul Someone said Tulsa's arena is half the cost of OKC to rent. Not sure the seat differential
